Wow, great for Kevin Goyer to leave a program high and dry, really shows what kind of person he is IMO. Even if his personal situation reflects that he would like to go elsewhere, he should have either stayed with the program another year, or left San Marin at the conclusion of his duties last season.
Any idea whos going for that (or the Tam) job?

Who knows who will be their replacement. The politics at the school are very deep and parents have a hand in alot of what has happened over the years. I am surprised that he didn't stay as coach but teach at Drake...you can't blame him for finding a better job in this economy...but there is no excuse for leaving the program unless they decided to release him once he told them of the teaching job...
As for Tam, I haven't heard anything yet but will let you know once I hear about it.

I have no "inside" knowledge of the SM coaches or situtation, but I do know Hwy 101 traffic......it would be a stretch to teach at Drake and then hightail it after school to San Marin for practice imho. Plus, he can't make any announcement about leaving SM until Drake finally hires him. Also, didn't Novato schools officially abolish all sports due to the earlier budget scare--but I haven't heard anything lately, so it was just a "provisional" thing? That would be another reason to not want to hang around the Novato district, I'd think.
So, just from looking from the outside, I suggest not to jump on Goyer too much, there seem to be some extenuating circumstances.

Im not sure about whos interested in San Marin, but San Marin is interested in a number of coaches in the empire. They include: Mazi Moayed Jim Nelsen Kevin Harrington Russ Ponce and a number of others....

San Marin has been a joke since Augosto left. That put the program back several years and they have not recovored. Any chance Augosto takes over at Tam? Everyone I've talked says he was the big reason for Tam's turn around last year.

sc...the school district has put everything on hold until the vote may 19th. Right now though, the season (for Novato High) is planned so I'm pretty confident that we will be playing next year...not too sure about San Marin. San Marin has already lost 12 incoming freshman to MC because of all the problems with the coaching. Mazi would be a good choice but dealing with the parents could stonewall his efforts. And Augosto was great at one time but he definitely caused more problems than he fixed towards the end of his tenure at HC.

415....what school is HC...sorry, can't place that one off hand. I'd think it would be comforting to parents and coaches for Novato schools to officially say they'll at least play varsity next season...

I've heard they are really interested in Kevin Harrington, I dont know why though (I dont mean that as a bad thing). John Antonio will be interviewing for the job on Friday.
