I know Palma is looking for a week 2 (replaces St Josephs in Santa Maria) that is open and would be a two year contract for all levels. Next season Palma will be in D3 due to the CCS playoff reorganization (no more open divivon). Meaning Palma will play in its own division. They will most likely be in Sacred Heart Preps (state bowl D3 participant that defeted El Cerrito soundly in bowl play-in). SHP should be decent again (maybe not as good as last season). CCS DIV (D3 enrollment) school should be very good next season. Palma should be in a major upswing starting next season with undefeated frosh and JVs and several very strong defense senior class. They will have many playmekrs on offense (D1 prospect a junior at QB and maybe among their most talented RBs (broke frosh record that last seasons senior and all time career rusher at Palma had) and receivers in years. They should be competitive with the top of the WCAL next season after taking a beating in the playoffs in the Open division the last couple years. Palma should be an early bowl prospect next year and the following in D3. They also now have one of the best stadium / fields in the section with last season's Rabobank stadium grand opening. I would like to see them play Marin catholic as well, but not sure they have opening.
Carmel (filled) and Monterey (a week 1 opening) will be very good as well in CCS D3 enrollment. Possibly valley Christian and Terra Nova will also be considered D3 now as well based on CCS reorg. With reorg, there should be more CCS, NCS, NS and SJS nonleague D3 games since one or two of the sections will be out of bowl play-in. Heard Sutter was looking as well, but probably filled.
