MC steamrolls San Marin 41-7, guess SM preseason schedule was supremely weak. MC with Justin Siena next week

So I hear! I guess we could get that MC / CN NCS final everyone has waiting on for years....if they can only get by Fort Bragg and St. Vincent St.Patrick lol.
There just might be running clocks up til the champions game in the D4 bracket.

No surprise. Eventually we'll have to sort each sport into leagues and playoffs based on competitiveness, not enrollment. No way around the imbalances, it's not just a matter of cycles anymore.

I bet Compolindo/Rancho do not mind all these guys cowardly moving down as they may be 1-2 seeds when all said and done. Maybe one of the private schools could drop to D5 like in basketball then really look like a power house.

I personally don't like the move, but not gonna bash them for playing where they are alloted.
People heaped praise on Mira when they moved "down" to D2 two years ago. It was a "strategic" and "smart" move then. Eureka has done the same thing, but not any complaints.
This is purely a manifest of the SBG's getting expanded and watered down.

MC knew that Newman was going D4 and still went down. Obviously they felt it would be easier getting through D4 than D3.

I think this is more of a move for the future for MC at least their JVs and freshman teams are weak and won't keep them at the top Of D3

If they thought D3 was an easier road to state this year why wouldn't they have stayed up for another year? They could have made their "move for the future" next year.
