This is one of the worst Elsie teams I have seen play but this is nothing new just a few seasons ago in the NBL the mismatches were nearly as great week in and week out. The way I see it, Elsie Allen would need a longtime veteran coach to come in with some hype to get kids to come out and build a program from the ground up with a solid system to believe in and create tradition. It may be a down year in the Empire but the teams that are doing well all have the same things in common, there is no secrets to their success. CN, RC, Analy, St. Helena, Fort Bragg, Middletown, ect. all have veteran coaches and/or staffs where a system and tradition is already in place. Kids already know what to expect before they even step through the doors as freshman. These teams have tradition and consistency. In the SCL the only program that has maintained a solid tradition is Analy, Bourdon has done a great job in just a few years. To a certain degree the Petaluma staff has remained consistent and created a respectable program, Piner is trying as well although they haven't burst onto the scene yet.

There isn't much they could do but play it and I expect Analy to play it the way they always play it. Having said that it is a disgrace that Elsie Allen tobe is even in the SCL. That this game is being played isn't looking out for the kids.

Only thing I'm worried about is players getting injured. Analy is a Div. III contender. To have one of their star players injured in a game like this would be just plain terrible.
