Garrigan will play offense for us. He is one of our top players and best athletes. At camp he played WR and RB. He has played some WR at passing league. He is coming off a hip flexor strain so we are taking it easy with him. Once the season comes around he will be playing all over the field.

Ok here is my top 5 running backs for the area 1. Cameron Erion( Set the rushing record in a single game last year against Petaluma, should come back as a leader in windsors system) 2. Kahili Keys( Casas big back, should pound the hole hard, great speed for his size) 3. Sam Atoe( complete player, Hard Runner, Pumas leader out on the field) 4. Brian Dworkin(Speedy and quick, has gotten bigger.. should help out ranchos veer) 5. Alex Real( Great Back, should lead the vikings running game)

Havent heard about Real before, anything you can tell us about him?
I've got to have Keys as the top back. The season (and each game) is a marathon, not a sprint. Erion is right there with him, along with Sullivan, but in a pinch, I've got to go with the experience and brute force of Keys. Dworkins up there somewhere, but I wouldn't put him in the same boat as the three mentioned above. Not too sure what to think of Atoe, don't know if hes going to be a straight RB or a WR. With Carrillo's offense he could end up being both.

To answer your question Alex, Real is a good young running back that franci has this coming year, not really big but can get the job done.. should be a good fit in their pistol offense. Dworkin and Sullivan are very simliar, both small quick off the ball and hard to contain around the corner.. Atoe could be the power back in the puma's offense, i doubt that higgins will move him out to receiver very much.. he is a good runner and i predict he gets close to 1000 yards this season.

Hmm, when was Newmans last 'fast' running back? Badger, Hutton, Ferg, etc used brute force and strength to pound the ball. Who was Newmans last Sean Sullivan?

Ben thats a hard question.. newman in the past few years have had running backs that used power including Badger, hutton, ferg.. but the last speedy back might be jamon heard who played in the mid 90's.. but i could be wrong..

Newman fan, to answer ur question, i think u are thinking about tyler laron who plays outside backer for newmans varsity.. i heard he might be running the ball behind Steven stout or matt bowman..
