Last I heard, Pond has quit the Oregon football team. As for Al Netter, he will be the returning starter a Left Tackle for Northwestern. He was voted third team All-Big 10 by Athlon Sports. Greg Alexander (Piner) will be the starting QB for Hawai'i this season and Adam Froman (Maria Carrillo) is looking to start at QB for Louisville. Both are transfers from SRJC.

Great to hear about Froman from Carrillo, hard to believe he's starting, ut after watching him at the JC, it doesnt seem that hard, he's got a great arm. Hope Alexander has a better season this year than Hawaii did last year. I got to go to Chicago for a Temp Assignment and while I was there I took a look at Northwestern's campus. Sure does look nice, Al is got a great chance there. Anyone know where Pond is going?

Great quote from Princeton Review's 368 best colleges, "Going to Northwestern is like dating a beautiful girl who treats you like crap." Go figure and no joke gang. It was a quote from a NW student in the back of the book. NW is a great degree. I don't know if I could deal with the weather.

Being a walk on in D-1A football is really tough. The other players start working out in June, but the walk-ons can't work out until mid August when school starts. Already they are 2 months behind in conditioning. Plus a scholarship player might get 4 reps to 1 rep for the walk-on. It is a tough battle.

You guys forgot someone huge! Koa Misi from University of Utah. He is projected to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick in the 2010 draft. He played previously at Montgomery and SRJC.

sikolec, that is a great write up. Thanks! I hope he moves up in the draft, and this year will an important year for him. Defense is excellent at Utah so he has a great chance to shine.

Koa is a sav, I worked with him at Best Buy before he went to play ball at the JC, just before I joined the military. I guess the only reason he didnt play right out of high school is cause his girlfriend didnt want him too, haha....
