Here are the week 3 results. Weekly winner was scobserver (15 points out of 21) nice job! Again some upsets (St. Vincent was picked to win by everyone). This week there are only 3 games (FB, MC and Monty) That would only be 6 points possible. I was thinking about doubling or tripling the points just to make it a little more interesting and still giving some people a chance to improve their scores. Let me know what you guys want to do.
scobserver 15 pts. (weekly winner) penguin 14 pts. ben Herrington 14 pts. dynomite 13 pts. bbclayman 12 pts. coachac 12 bella 9 pts. football415 9 pts. 4thqtrcoemback 7 pts. cotterstone 7 pts. footballfan 6 pts.
Overall points leaders: 1. bbclayman 142 2. penguin 138 2. scobserver 138 3. coachac 135 4. footballfan 134 4 4thqtrcomeback 134 5. cotterstone 130 6. dynomite 129 7. ben herrington 123 8. football415 121 9. bella 119 sikolec 58 zorn 55 skinn31 54 newmanfan 13

Yeah, I like the idea of having different points than simply 3-2-1. Maybe 6-3-1? Or maybe even something more extreme, 10-5-1.

Not to be competitive or anything, but I think I had 12 points for this week and not 6. MC win would be a 6 pointer for me.

This week: Marin Catholic over Encinal Fort Bragg over Justin Siena Montgomery over Eureka Interesting, I may end up going head to head with you. Not because I want to go head to head, but because I think I like the flipside of your picks. But we need to determine the ranking system first. I'm pretty sure the Encinal/MC game is going to be my lowest confidence pick.

haha, nice. Ill take Marin Catholic due to coaching, and their ability to change their offense to win a game. Encinal I just see as an overconfindent team that enters this game as if its already won. Peralta is a good coach, and Marin Catholic can make things happen.
Fort Bragg has an offense that quite frankly scares me. That running game is crazy, and they can pass too, so Justin Siena will have their hands full. Though the Braves defense does well, Im going to take offense in this one.
Monty over Eureka is a tough one, really tough, considering Eureka is probably going to wax them like they've never seen before. But I've got a feeling... (key Black Eyed Peas), that Friday night is going to be a good night. Monty's defense is the toughest defense Eureka has need all year. (Even better than Shasta, a game where Eureka has 4 turnovers). If Shull and Smallcomb can use their speed to hold Vainuku to just a few yards per carry right around the line, Monty will have a chance. Eureka doesnt pass, so it will be the ability of the secondary to blitz the Eureka running game on the corners. I dont know how in the name of the football god that Monty continues to score offensive points, but it keeps happening against good teams. If they can do it against Casa (twice) and against Newman (minus the redzone issues), Monty can take it. Franci with 30 + years of experience and a top notch coaching staff is number 1 in my books. Montana at Eureka has things going, but I dont need to know what coaches they bring to the table; I'm sticking with Monty.

Justin Siena showed me a lot this week. Perhaps I bought into Valley Christian too much, but I like how they took care of business. I'll go with them although I think many have overlooked Ft. Bragg ever since they got beat by Cloverdale.
Encinal/MC is the game of the week, in my opinion. Being from Marin originally, I'll be pulling for MC, but I'm not confident really picking either team.
Eureka over Monty will get the my most confident pick. Not that I'd be shocked if Monty wins, because they could. But based on what Eureka has done with their first three opponents in the playoffs, it's really hard to bet against them.

Ok so I'm hoping the football gods will be good to me!!
3 Eureka....Monty hasn't seen a RB like the one up in the green triangle. 2 Justin....experience and scheduling helps them get past the butterflies. 1 MC.....even as a true Hornet fan, I'm using my heart in this one, I want to see them get a chance at Carson...would make a statement for the MCAL.
Good luck to all teams!! Play safe!!

Sounds good to me. We'll do 10 most confident 5 middle and 1 least confident for a total of 16 points.

Should we have a tie breaker? Perhaps score of the Monty/Eureka game.
