baseball scores @ cifncs.org
Schuller is still the interm coach, not officially the coach, but I dont know why. Just a few years back when Newmans basketball team went to the state championship, their coach was a temp, even though he was with the team the whole year.
neverdoneit, are you telling me a freshman is competing for the starting QB job at SR?

I was told that by an assistant coach. I have never seen the kid play. The coach said he had an outstanding arm.

The kid is going to be a sophomore next season Ben and I also heard he has a lot of talent. I think he is a little small for varsity yet but he does have a huge upside

Kallen Rosselli is the QB. The kid is going to be very good. The senior QB, Alexander, is coming off knee surgery in November and had mono during Spring ball, so I am not sure that it's going to be all that competitive later in the Summer, but Rosselli will be a standout player at SRHS for a few years to come.

ok, so I have to say to the ones that talk about how small Brian Dworkin is, wait until you get a look at him now. It is great to see a kid that has worked as hard as he has start to show the fruit of his labor. I don't have the good fortune to see all the others but I really like the shape Brian is in. And I think he is faster tahn he was before. Hey Ben, you need to come to our field and see Peleti-Gore, he looks like he is almost in mid-season form.

the "ranch" is a 4th place team in the NBL this year. Not knockin them as they are so consistently good but this will be one of those rare down years. They will not be as good as Newman, Monty, or Carrillo. They will beat Piner, Rosa, Ukiah, and Elsie but not by the normal 40 point margins. They will probably win those games more like 28-14 this year.

neverdoneit, i'll have to agree with you on the Ranch being a 4th place NBL team, dispite having a nice offense including Dworkin, but until it happens, I couldnt drop them below Carrillo. Rancho is a better program than Carrillo, and has beaten them all but twice in Carrillos whole school history. I know what Rancho has, but a lot of what Carrillo has is hype. Thats probably not the best word, but Carrillo needs to win for me to put them over a proven Rancho program with a number of returning players.

OK, so I have read this board for the last couple of weeks going through the different threads... I do enjoy the topics, although some appear to not be exactly accurate with some information.
So I just overheard the Rancho O line coach talking with another parent. He seemed happy with the way practice was going. He talked with us for a moment on his way out of practice. I asked him if the line was a little down this year. He laughed at me and said he hears that every year. He said that the line has the potential to be the best it has been in years. I said aren't you guys a little smaller this year,,.. he said he doesn't think they are any smaller than anybody else, in fact he said they are much larger than most teams. He told me they have two good and very large guards 6'4" 300, 6'3" 280 a center who may be the fastest linemen in the league at 5' 10" 200. another tackle at 6'3" 275. and others that can really play. He also stated that if the QB can get the ball to the faster receivers this year along with the fact that they have the potential to have the best RB/FB combo. It appears that if one of the QB's develop they will play for the league title. I watched the line for a while and they look plenty big....after talking with him for a while the coach laughed at me as he walked away and said ok let's keep it a secret don't tell anybody but we should be pretty good this year. He added that until somebody beats Newman they are the team to beat and the rest of the league will be improved. I Just wanted to add this. I just started reading this site which is entertaining. thanks and GO Rancho
