Hunn may not have had much in the way of 'feet' this past season (he did have some good runs) but I have seen him working out at the gym and the feet are getting quicker, let's not forget the arm........

hope you are correct, Matt has the drive and the heart to be a great leader on the team. And Peleti-Gore has been hurt both years he has played. Keep you eyes out for Ricky Garcia, 6'2 can throw very accurate and runs pretty well(going to be a sophomore)

Dworkin has good quickness.. and rancho will have some more big linemen, it looks like they have returning all league linemen, 6'4' 290+ lbs. left guard Andy Richardson, (I think his dad is the long time rancho asst. coach), returning center is Caldron also a strong wrestler. Last year they only had one returning lineman and that was murray. They also have a couple of other kids that didn't get much playing time last year on the line. Peleti is a good athlete and nice kid, but maybe not playoff type material, if Hunn matures he might make a difference. The Freshman kid might be the way to go he may start slow but he is the best "QB" type...also it looks like they have some very good receivers this year....who knows maybe a few more passing yards... certainly couldn't hurt them.

Newmanfan if you know the Rancho Cotate offense you should know even if we have a great passer it is run first.( the veer) Peleti-Gore is much better then Hunn, and he has a great arm, his only fault is his toughness

Someone said Peleti Gore has gotten hurt two seasons in a row toughness is one of his faults and how bout being able to see into the defensive backfield over those big lineman maybe Hunn can give him a boost. As Hunn matures and keeps working out he can be a top NBL QB. Maybe he should think about going to Newman?

to rpfan, what I mean by toughness is sometimes you have to play through the pain. In football all kids will get so kind of injury , it is how they deal with it the counts

I think Rancho has two talented junior quarterbacks, who have a ton of potential. They each have strengths and weaknesses. Peleti-Gore has speed, experiance with the veer, and a good arm. His only weakness, which has been stated before is his toughness. Hunn on the other hand lacks the break away speed, but has made improvement from his freshman year on J.V. He also has a cannon for an arm. He is also HUGE!!! He is almost 6'5'' and weighs close 235 lbs. But, right now with the veer, I think Peleti-Gore will start. He is a heck of an athlete. But, don't be surprised if they have trouble running they put Hunn in and let him air it out.

Hunn sounds like Grady Sheehy all over again, but a lot taller!

That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw him. I believe Hunn has the ability to become a D-1 recruit. He no question, has the the size and the arm. But, he has to become more mobile, and not get nervous in the pocket. The only thing though is the veer. Unless he gets faster, Gore will get the majority of the snaps. I think they would be wasting talent.

I agree Hunn with help can be D-1 potential. This kid is a tall ,the arm ,i hear he's working with trainers on speed mobility over the off season. He's gonna turn some heads. Was Hunn at the QB clinic few weeks back?

I don't think he attended that, but he should try to get into a camp over the summer. That could be great for his future.

It is 2009. Oklahoma and Nebraska had to eventually stop running the wishbone and option. The I veer's time is up as well. Great offense against smaller schools with less talent but not going to title games with that offense for much longer.
