Only lost to Windsor by 3 and Windsor/Casa look to the top of the game. Healdsburg at 5-0 could be above Casa and Windsor but we dont know. So here comes Analy with a big win over Healdsburg! They only lost to Miramonte 21-7 and it looks like they will win their league as it is.
Hmmm... Analy is better than I thought, but can they pull off a league championship?

Don't think Analy can do it, but they could be close. As you said Casa and Windsor, seem to be the top 2. But, I honestly haven't been overwhelmed by the play of Casa and Windsor seems up and down as well. I could see the league champ with 1 loss. Something like Winsor beats Casa, but loses to Healdsburg.
That would be great to see that type of parity (competitive teams). That is why I really like the WCAL, there are no gimmies (ask VC). I don't think it is a sign of a good league when the same team wins over and over and many times they don't even lose in league. In that regard the NBL has been a little more balanced between CN, RC and Monty, where the SCL has been Casa's pretty much for a decade. Although personally I still prefer and follow the SCL much more.

Casa will be back on track this week. This year the Trojans don't stand a chance. Sherry will pick them apart. He will have plenty of time because the Trojans are weak up front and won't get pressure. Too much speed with the Gauchos as well as toughness. Casa by 28.

With the hindsight of a few days...yes, seems Analy is really a "contender" this year. In recent years they have been winning non league, but at bottom tier in league. But perhaps the "winnable non league game strategy" is paying off. With Casa losing to YV, they are perhaps not as fearsome as believed. Now is year for Analy to actually beat one of the top teams, as they almost did to Windsor (and already to Healdsburg). Might be a very good SCL race after all!

Well I guess we will just have to see with Analy. Because is it just me or does this same situation ring a bell to anyone? Let's go back to the 2008 season, same game Healdsburg and Analy, same place Analy High School, and Healdsburg is undefeated. What did Analy do? They shocked Healdsburg and everyone crowned them as the SCL champions. However, the next week Analy was upset by El Molino in one of the biggest upsets I've seen in a long time, Analy went on to loose 5 straight after that. I'm not saying that Analy is not a good football team, all I'm saying is it's a long season, and it will be interesting to see how the rest of it plays out. I think Analy will have to beat Casa if they want to win SCL.

Very true but that Analy team didn't lead by 3 and lost by 3 to a 6-0 Windsor team with Casa falling to an NCS Div. III Ygnacio Valley (3-2).
I'll hold for now on saying Analy is a serious serious contender, but for now they have my attention.

htown, very good memory, Analy did beat H'burg and then went into a tailspin that year. And with El Mo coming up the week after! That should be a great one, Analy-El Mo always draw big crowds, even when their teams are not doing well, which is the sign of a true rivalry.

Yes That is a fun rivalry, it is one of those games that the team records coming in go out the window. It's about who wants it more, the team that wants to win it more on Friday will win. I know El Molino's offense has been a little bit down the last couple weeks. But keep in mind that they put up 35 points on a pretty darn good Alhambra team. If El Molino gets rolling on offense, this one might get really interesting.
