Last night vs. Pinole Valley 18 carries for 239 yards and 4 TD. Eureka wins 61-7 against a team that beat 9-0 Division 1 Berkely last week. Eureka might be the best team in Div II playoffs.

Why pick just one?! He is rightfully so one of the best overall players in Nor-Cal as predicted by NorCalPreps.

Holy cow! This guy is unreal! 6 TDs against Petaluma, and over 300 yards rushing, just incredible. In football you usually say there is no I in team but in Soma Vainuku's case, there is an M and and an E.

Now how did CN come into this conversation? Apparently the same way Ricky Sims did.

Soma Vainuku - more like Earl Campbell than Bettis...Campbell was not only powerful, but was FAST, as is Vainuku. Bettis was never known for his speed.

www.times-standard.com/sports/ci_13933756If anybody is interested in the article. “But he's not King Kong" ”If you hit him hard enough, he'll go down like everyone else.” then ”I'm King Kong” “What kind of set me off was that article. It gave me the extra push. If you want to hit me, I'll hit you harder.” Can anybody retell what happened here? Bad blood between PHS and Eureka?

It looks like Soma is just trying to play the bad boy, we all know he is a softy inside. I think Johnson's offhanded statement was just blown outta' proportion up North. I believe that they were just trying to get some dirt on a golden Petaluma team.

Just saw some numbers posted in an article in the PD about Vainuku: 6'1", 255 lbs. (okay we knew this), 465 lb. bench press (WOW!), 30 reps of 225 lbs. (for a point of comparison, in the 2007 NFL combine, the 3 best "scores" for this were 42, 40 and 34...this is for college lineman about to enter the NFL!), 4.56 40 yd. dash speed (close to WOW!). And he is only a junior...guess it is reasonable to think he will get bigger, stronger and faster in a year from now.
Either these numbers are exaggerations (don't think they are), or Vainuku is quite possibly a once in a generation talent.
WOW!
