I thought RVC was playing 8-man for at least the 2010 season, per new HC John Rickard. I just got a hold of the Calistoga schedule and they have RVC towards the end of the season.
I checked another site to see if they have RVC's schedule, but the only other game they have is a school I haven't heard of before now.
Will RVC return to 11-man ball this early? How about Mendocino, they had a JV team last year and are also on Calistogas schedule.

It's possible Stoga would play 8 man against RVC if they already had them scheduled and didn't want to have to drop the game.

Hmm, would RVC playing 11-man ball for this game, or would Calistoga play 8-man ball?
RVC obviously wont have playoffs, but Calistoga does... if this game is played 8-man, would this count as a win or loss for NCS reasons?

I would think Calistoga would play 8 man. I also believe it would count for playoff purposes.

Calistoga played 8 man against Laytonville or Round Valley about 2 or 3 years ago (not quite sure about it exactly, I don't follow Calistoga too much). But I belive Calistoga would be playing 8 man against RVC and the game would indeed count.

It is my understanding that 8-man does not count in NCS.

I'm really thinking it doesnt. I think it would be better for the possible playoff bound team for RVC to play 11-man ball.

I know how one 8-man scenario works: Let's say RVC starts the season as an 11 man team and schedules Calistoga, but the Monday before the game, RVC calls Calistoga up and says we need to play 8-man.
With this scenario it is my understanding that that an eight man game is counted as a forfeit, and the team that doesn't need to play 8 man gets a W on their record. The game is then played as exhibition only.
