60-18 over Lower Lake. They have been putting up serious points and is only a bad half away from 7-0. Could make waves in Div. IV.

I spoke with Foltmer a few weeks ago. He stated the entire league was up, but that with Fort Bragg, Kelseyville would be tough this year as they have great team speed and have the ability to bust a big play at any time. It turns out he was correct. We will find out how good Kelsyville is next week when they play at Middletown. Win or loose that game, as long as they take care of business at home vs. St Vincent, Kelseyville can control its own destiny as far as a playoff birth is concerned if they can beat Fort Bragg in Fort Bragg at the end of the season. This will not be an easy task.

Kelseyville is good but there in no way Kelseyville will be Middletown.

Kelseyville is a solid D4 team, but they can't compete with Middletown this year.
I would love to see a Middletown vs. Healdsburg D4 championship.
St. Pats, Salesian, Elmo, and Fortuna will all be tough in the D4 playoffs too.

4thqtr. you beat me to this post. I was gonna post exactly what you have. A Middletown vs. Healdburg game would be a great match-up. Middletown would seem to have the advantage of getting home field at this point if they meet other than in the championship.
The D-IV playoff bracket is one of the better and more competitive ones.

I agree with you bella, DIV has some solid teams in there, Healdsburg, Middletown, Elmo, and that's just to name a few. But I do disagree on one thing, I actually think Healdsburg at this point would have the upper hand over Middletown when it comes to playoff seedings. Just due to the fact that Healdsburg has played a much stronger schedule. Healdsburg has played quality opponents in Alhambra, Acalanes, and also Windsor and will play Elmo and Casa coming up. Where Middletown's best opponent was Salesian, who put up 57 points on Middletown. If Healdsburg wins both the Casa and elmo games, I don't see how they can seed Middletown higher than Healdsburg.

I am very excited to watch D. IV Play-offs this year. Its gonna be really interesting to watch the Ferndales and Middletowns play the Healdsburgs and El Molinos. Throw in the East Bay Salesians and St. Pats. This is a very competitive and balanced Division.
Would have LOVED to see Ft. Bragg's 2009 team in this mix.

P.S.
Middletown 56 Kelseyville 0.
The Mustangs are just in a class of their own.

I think h-town would get a higher seed to, but I still think Middletown is in better position to be a home team. The way the NCS has hosting priority is league champions have priority even over higher seeds. I dont like the rule, but I still think Middletown has a better chance at winning the NCL than healdsburg does of the SCL, hence hosting a potential game vs. Healdsburg

This is how I see the top seeds at this point: If the bracket holds true, Healdsburg will be at Middletown in the 3rd round, and St. Pats would be at @ Salesian
1. Healdsburg (toughest schedule) 2. St. Pats/St Vin (has close win over Salesian, 2nd in league) 3. Salesian - Home field, 1st in league 4. Middletown - Home field, 1st in league
5 - Elmo
Htown - Keep in mind that when Middletown lost to Salesian in their first game, Salesian already had a game under their belt as they played in week zero and Middletown did not. This is a huge advantage in all levels of football. Also, Middletown's Jake Davis was out injured. He plays Middlebacker & Fullback and is arguably the best player in the Northbay large or small schools (at least top five).
Keep in mind if Elmo can upset (is it an upset at this point?) Healdsburg next week then I flip flop these two teams. Which would set up a 2nd round matchup of Htown and Mtown.
Its going to be fun.

The top 4 looks right, I think El Mo could throw a wrench into things though with that win over Windsor. Should they beat Healdsburg El Mo could jump up.
