Just found out that after three years as head coach at Drake, Dan Kenilvort has resigned his position.
Beginning in 2008 Coach Kenilvort brought Drake to the playoffs with a 5-5 regular season record. That was their first playoff birth since 2002.
The last two seasons have been challenging with a combined 4 wins however the MCAL has improved significantly accross the board since he took over. Tam has gone from winless to a playoff team, Novato and Marin Catholic remain tough, San Marin has posted a playoff victory, and San Rafael finished last season 10-2.
Not a lot of information so far. Potential new coaches include formar San Marin and Tamalpias coach Kevin Goyer as well as formar Redwood coach Jim Cerf.

Ugh - things are going from bad to worse at Drake. Kenilvort was probably not going to turn Drake into an MCAL power (too many hippie families down there to be real successful), but he was bringing respectability back. I feel bad for whoever the next guy is...

No idea, with his father out of the mix I wouldn't be surprised to see him not play at 100%.
Because his residence isnt changing he wouldn't be able to transfer and still play this season. Otherwise I would say he might end up at Tam.
I've heard there is an interm coach in place to cover what needs to be done. I have no idea if a new coach will be hired for this season or not. Jimmy Cerf is looking great right about now!

there is an interim coach in place. I have his name on Drakes page and on the coaches page. I believe he was Drakes QB in 1992. Last I heard the school is still looking for a coach to take over fulltime.
