Bleachercoach, you sound like a Novato fan circa 2007, you know, back when they could compete with MC! My post back in August simply asked if things were changing down in the MCAL (you know, the hippy and granola league). As is now apparent, SM isn't ready for prime time, Novato kept enough kids eligible to hammer the rest of a bad league and MC will compete in NCS with kids who would otherwise be at San Marin.

gregbrady, nice recap. A shame something can't be worked out for lights somewhere in town, that would take care of attendance concerns.
Interesting some fans there perceive schools as a richer side/poorer side. The 2 schools in my opinion are pretty close demographically. NHS-SMHS is nothing like the divide in the NBL---Newman, Carillo overwhelmingly white and affluent, Monty and especially SR mixed, with Piner and Elsie Allen mostly minority and much higher proportion of poor.
oldsalami---yow. quite a cutting post.
Anyone know the all-time series in Novato?

I don't know I think there is a decent divide between SM and Novato or it has always been preceived that way. Parts of ADP and Hamilton seem to have alot more issues you don't always see on the other side (SM) of Novato.

Oldsalami I would not count Novato out for future league titles. It is my understanding that the championship Pop Warner team has made a pact to stay together and not go to MC.
The Coaches in the Novato Pop Warner system are really trying to put a sense of community together for these young men through all levels that will bind them together

that team is currently freshman and dominated. (including MC!) similar movement at SM youth i hear...this year's team of 8th graders did not fare as well as last years team, but plenty of talent coming up the black n gold ranks.
