I believe they will be going independent for the next two years to try and build the program back up. Then the idea was to try and get into the NBL 2?

Yes, the article is unclear how St. Vincent will be in NCL II when no such football league exists.
I tend to believe Herzog has the local connections to exploit the private school advantages (no enrollment boundaries) despite the limitations (tuition fees.) Plus, St. Vincent has been good at combing the Novato area, and maybe they can venture more successfully into Rancho Cotate's boundaries.
I do not think that the quality of academics at Petaluma and Casa school is all that strong; it won't be much a factor in parents decisions (it's the tuition). Analy, though, is a top public school in terms of academics, which I think has enhanced its attraction to motivated student/athletes.

I am certain the NCL I is not eager to take in a reinvigorated St. Vince. I wish the new NBL had the courage to go with the historic designations NBL I and NBL II. What are you going to put on the banner--"Sport--Champs--Oak--2018" ??

Yeah the article is a bit confusing as to which league they end up in. I'm still convinced there is no way they go to 8 man football. I just don't see it.

Yeah with Daly at the helm I don’t see them going to 8 man. He wants a SBG contending team down the road that’s been clear. He is also smart enough to realize football is a huge selling point for the school and it’s livelihood and future. However there appears to be one obstacle which will hinder that. Well they got rid of the AD awhile back. And now in 2021 they are playing in a SBG NorCal game as expected. Hard work truly pays off!
