I have been curious if any of the old SCL teams bring frosh football to their new leagues.
On maxpreps, I looked at 2016, and Analy, Sonoma Valley, and even El Molino (!) all show they fielded frosh teams and even their scores. (Newman 66--Sonoma 0) (!). But for 2017 season, the most recent, none of the three show any frosh team scores or a schedule. So I figured the scores just never got posted.
However, maxpreps shows frosh scores and schedules in 2017 for Newman, San Marin, Casa, Petaluma, Ukiah, and Marin Catholic--and not one of them had a game scheduled against Analy/Sonoma/El Mo (or any old SCL schools). Granted, in 2017 most of the frosh teams show only 5 or 6 games (cancelations no doubt to the fire.) Still, if those SCL three had football, you would have thought at least a couple would have shown up on the schedules of the remaining NBL/MCAL teams.
So what gives? Did frosh football crash at all three of those SCL schools last fall? Or just scores not reported to maxpreps? I was surprised to see El Mo had frosh in 2016, as I think three years ago they did not even have JV. Anyway, if anyone has knowledge to share....

I’m not sure who has Frosh football but I do know that someone has to report the schedule or the score from one of the teams for it to show up on MaxPreps. The small schools rarely report JV scores so it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that the scores and schedules weren’t reported. The best bet would be to go to the school website and look to see if there’s a schedule or a contact for a Frosh coach. Also look through Twitter feeds as the schools and!or parents will sometimes report scores through that

Yes it is true. Trying to improve depth at JV and Var levels.

Looks like its only Windsor, Casa, Rancho and maybe Petaluma fielding frosh teams in Sonoma County. Crazy low turnout everywhere it seems
