I got to listen to a lack luster radio broadcast of the Fortuna vs. Newman game and looks like Newman's got a good QB to say the least.
In his first varsity start, Jackson Pavitt (6"2 185) passed for nearly 300 years and four TDs. Could be the second coming of Ryan Lingle here. Halftime score was 28-0. Cronin must have called off the dogs after Newman scored another TD in the 3rd Qtr. Final was 35-6.
Should be interesting to see how he does against Sutter.

Newman has a chance to be very good this year. QB actually threw for 5 TDs. 6'-5" WR Jake Woods with 3 TD catches. Chauncey Leberthon and Julio Angel with a TD reception each. The defense was stout against a Fortuna offense that returned all 5 starting OL from last years State Title team.

That's what I thought. The paper said 4 TDs so I just kinda went with it.
That's really something else for his first varsity start. Might be a bit too early though. I'm not too sure how good Newman is b/c I'm not sure how good Fortuna is.
Sutter is always good. Ryan Reynolds runs a great program out there. If Newman gets a similar score I think it will say a lot about their capabilities this year.
