New question we are unfortunately grappling with:
Are the non existent games of Healdsburg and Elsie Allen "forfeits" or "cancellations"?
As I understand, and I could be wrong, a forfeit is a W for the other team, but cancellation is as if the game were never scheduled.
I thought that after H'burg announced the end of their team after two games, the rest of their games were "cancelled." So that in my mind, means every remaining NBL II team would have four division games.
Elsie, meanwhile, said that they would not play any non-league games--cancellations?--but then changed their mind and played three of them, and then, for their first NBL II game, I think I saw in PD that it was a "forfeit" to Montgomery.
This weekend, Elsie was scheduled to play Healdsburg, which means this is the only weekend that the NBL II has two games rather than just one.
My question: if Elsie does not play any more games this season, does that mean El Mo, Santa Rosa, and Piner each have a "cancellation"--meaning they each will have just three NBLII games, but Montgomery, with a "forfeit" win, will have four? Does that mean El Mo, SR, and Piner are allowed to try to pick up another non-league game to fill the Elsie Allen date (assuming the Lobos will drop their team?) I know San Rafael was able to schedule another team after Elsie did not play them.
Am I over complicating this? But the playoff committees have to know either way, correct?

You got San Rafael-Elsie Allen all wrong. San Rafael was originally scheduled to play Madison Park on the 14th, but they cancelled their season, so San Rafael gave Elsie a call and played them that day instead. As for the question, I believe it's considered a forfeit if the other team can't or doesn't want to find a replacement opponent, and if they do find one, it's just considered a cancellation. I could be wrong though.

I believe for the League games they’re considered “forfeit” with a final score of 2-0. Non-league games I’m not sure.

Elsie plans on playing the remainder of the season....as of today. The Montgomery forfeit was due to injuries and low numbers that week.

pmg, thank you for correcting me....I did get that all wrong.
So if Elsie plays out the rest of the NBL II and lose, I wonder if they still get a record of 1-4 (the "forfeit" from Healdsburg) or, I wonder if all the NBL II teams will have just 4 division games (a "cancellation" from Healdsburg.) I guess come playoff time, the official records will be announced and then we will know!
