Word is he is going to MC as OC. Be nice if he stayed as OC for SR, but I hear he's got a couple schools who want him.

Hes a good coach, MC is lucky to have him. Hopefully he will help Carrillo to pass a little more :-)

Menke was the best coach Carrillo has ever had. The Santa Rosa program will go a long way with him. Carrillo hasn't been the same since he left.

I have to point out that there was so much backlash against SR when they let the last coach go. So many people were saying SR couldn't do better.
The Keefer team including Mencke and about 8 other coaches looks like a HUGE upgrade. They met with the kids yesterday and it's like night and day with regard to their level of organization, and the number and quality of the staff. I am no fan of the principal over there, believe me. But this looks like a great move. We'll have to see what happens on the field, but as someone who has watched the last three years of the Pop Warner program over there, I am extremely happy so far.

I am hearing and seeing the same. Very professional. Hitting the weights hard. Heiner's in there with his program. A playbook! A lot of seniors to work with. A lot of talented skill position players with a lot of dedication. Enough big strong kids to work into a decent line. I am happy for the kids and for the fans this year. Keefer's got all the pieces to really stun the NBL this year and I hope he can do it.
