Sullivan and Sims will be attending the under armour combine this weekend at the Oakland Raiders practice facility. I have heard that Waggoner from Casa will also be attending.

The toughest part on these kids is that they get invited by some top schools to attend a camp and that gets their hopes up pretty high, then at the end of their senior year if they haven't grown into the right physical mold for the position they play the division 1 schools show no interest at all. It's a shame because it really doesn't matter how good of a season the kid has.

I think this is where the parents can make a difference. Help keep them grounded and not too full of themselves. I hear of too many parents pushing so hard and telling their kids false info. I think it's important to support and help, but keep it real. These kids are pretty smart and aware of the challenges ahead. I think they're up for whatever happens. Will it be a disappointment? Sure, but I've heard more than one say they have no problem with the JC. We have a great program there.

Sullivan had one of the 5 fastest 40 times at the event. Waggoner and Sullivan both were in the top 5 for the shuttle run. Sims and Waggoner looked real strong on the bench press. All 3 of them looked real good in the 1 on 1s and 7 on 7. You could tell these 3 have been putting in work. Sims and Waggoner looked huge out there. Both of them have to be 205 - 210 pounds and moving very well.

Sullivan also had the 2nd highest verticle jump at 35 inches and Waggoner had the 3rd fastest 3 cone drill at 7.18 seconds. These kids really represented the area well. This was a good combine with some great talent. Probally about 200 - 250 players total. The Raiders practice facility was a great place to have this event.

Great to hear these guys made it down. This is a good way to get out there, and will also better prepare these players for the Nike Combine in May.
Sounds like they were successful. Did any get interviewed for a writeup after the combine? I'm looking forward to seing their combine stats posted online.
What about other players from area schools?
Where there any linemen from here?

Sullivan was interviewed by ESPN. Alot of the people were talking about him especially after his 40 and verticle.

That is great to hear, and thats exactly what you want. The more people that you can showcase your skills in front of the better. Good for him. I didn't realize Under Armour is now the sponsor for ESPN combines. They use to be the sponsor for scout.comcombines. With that said I did some checking, and scout.com is still having a combine in our area on June 7th in SF. This is just another opportunity for these athletes to showcase there skills and solidify their combine numbers. scoutcombines.scout.com/

This was wrote in a combine recap regarding Sullivan: Small but quick There might not have been any prospects at the combine who were quicker than Sean Sullivan (Petaluma, Calif.), who posted a striking 4.0 shuttle and flashed great footwork throughout the day. The running back's respectable 4.6 40 time and a great vertical jump (35 inches) opened our eyes and UCLA's. He has been invited to attend some of the Bruins' spring practices. sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/news/story?id=4005690
