I hope you are right rancho fan. Even though I'm partial to Monty, I am an NBL fan. Hopefully Rancho will start things off 3-0 going into league play. All of their preseason games are pretty tough. I think a lot of unknowledgeable HS fans look at that Vintage game as an easy game, but Vintage is a tough game and a solid D1 program in the SJS. Not an easy game by any means. Castlemont could go either way, but they were tough last year, and the Petaluma game will be a great gauge, as they should have probably their best team since 2005.

I wouldnt worry about my wallet Ranchofan, just worry about your own. Rancho's running game and no passing game will be no match for Newman's balanced offense.

Great action at the Tomales Smashmouth Football Camp tonight. San Marin looked organized and I got the impression Hickey is doing a great job there. They ran the 'I' mostly. They are very undersized up front which could hurt them. Drake was also undersized and was hurt by the FLU bug. Half of Drakes team has come down with the flu so they lift early tonight and are hoing to return tomorrow. Drake was also running the 'Pistol' offense. Acalanes looked sharp running the "Pistol" offense as well and they played a pretty even scrimmage with Exerter from Visalia. Analy had the best passing game at the camp tonight as they comleted several passes against Piner. The strongest running game was iner running their 'Fly' offense. All in all it was a solid first night. Rancho has also decided to participate in the scrimmages on Sunday making for an interesting scrimmage day on Sunday.

Here is my top 5 teams... 1. Newman(Lost most of their undefeated team, but returns a good group of guys including Blake Ratto, Jack James.) 2. Monty( Saw them at camp, Big line up front. will be hard to stop) 3. Windsor( Returns Erion and King at Quarterback, should be the front runner in the SCL.) 4. Carrillo( has one of the best teams in school history, Led with Sam Atoe and Hunter Odom) Watch out for LB/C Tyler Wilson 5. Rancho( Should have a quick line, which will help the veer, Poueu Peleti-Gore leads their offensive into the season, Cant forget about speedy running back Brian Dworkin.

Rancho will be my sleeper team, i say casa fills that last spot.. they lose Nadoski and O Brian.. but still should have a run at the scl crown.. behind other strong teams windsor and petaluma..

No way Casa finishes 3rd in the SCL. IMO SCL will shape out something like...
Casa Windsor Petaluma Hburg Analy

NBL Supporter, also think it an error to not include Casa in Top 5, really top 3. I figure Carillo to be like Rancho of last year--overrated and gets spanked by any really good teams...and Rancho even worse than Carillo for the coming season. But it would be good for the SCL if you are right and Casa can get overtaken...

I'd have Casa as one of the top three teams period. Newman, Monty, and Casa have got to be the top teams at least in the pre-season. You could make an argument to rank either of them at number one.
