Who are the better assitants. Not just good coaches but good guys. I know Frank Scalaercio is a hell of a guy and a hell of a coach.
Who else?
Les Richardson from Rancho, Menke from Santa Rosa, Krist at Petaluma,

I'd say Gondola is one of the top coaches in the area.

Mike Mulas has been coaching the defense at Sonoma for 20 plus years and has produced some great players. Lynn Meister and Dennis Bruno at Newman are great too. Meister has been there at least 30 years and Bruno 20 plus. The consistency and character of these three make their head coached look good every year.

From an MCAL stand point I would have to say Glen Weston for Novato. He used to be the JV coach but was on the field for Varsity helping the Defense. When Novato beat MC for the 2A RE Champ in 2005, He reworked the whole defensive in less than a week. He took a year off last year but is back on the field for Varsity this year. We hope he stays since he is great with the kids.

Matt Demeola is the best assistant coach hands down. Bao Alderson is also a great coach. And Russell Ponce is also very good. But Demeola is great!

I believe his name is Coach piel? For CN D line and LB? I've spoken to him a couple times .Very knowledgeable about the game and his passion for the game shows. Great with the kids, he shows them he's committed to the program as much as the players are.

Pat Piehl is also a very good coach. He has been coaching with Cronin for a very long time. He also was a teammate of Cronin's in high school and college. Great guy very knowlegable.

Newman also has a very good coach in Badger at ther JV level. Most all their coaches could have their own Varsity programs.
What happen to Todd V. at Monty? Is he still coaching this year? He used to do some pretty good things for Monty's D.
I also heard Coach Knowlton(sp?) D coordinator from S.R. is at Analy this year. Is this true? If so he, I think he'll really help out there.

Yes, Coach Knowlton is the new D-Coordinator at Analy. He has already put in his 3-3 stack defense that he used at S.R. He is a good coach.

What top coaches are NOT coaching? Maybe their former head coach quit, was fired or they stepped away for a few years and are ready to get back into it. I know Knowlton landed in Analy but their has to be others that were left without a spot in the same situation.

I have heard a lot of great things about Davis at Windsor. This puts alot of pressure on the varsity coach because Davis consistently wins with these same kids. Good luck to Windsor in 09!!!
