CN really needs to work on its offense. Didn't execute very well at all except for one drive. QB would always just run up the middle instead of stepping up and throwing . Looks like inexperience. When he did get a pass off, he has a good accurate arm but too many dropped passes. Only two threats at skill positions and they have been taken out at all games- line gave up 6 sacks and something like 8 plays tackled behind line of scrimmage. They made some adjustments at half, but this team is slightly above average at best in a stronger league. Not enough team speed and too many holes.
Defense seemed to look better, but still not much speed on the corners and defensive line not like last season. They seemed pretty soft. Palma didn't execute well with their week off, otherwise this game could have been ugly. Palma has alot of work to do as well.
However, CN still looks like it could be competitive in league. They just need to execute better on offense (catch passes and not give up the ball on special teams), and block on the line (o-line doesn't fire out well whiuch lets the defense penetrate and get to the point of attack). Defense looks like it could be pretty good if they can cover the corners and off tackle better, and off tackle hurt them all night. Pass rush was pretty good at times and Palma had to make adjustments (roll out, play action, etc). I think CN will have advantage in league, but the games with the top teams could be competitive. CN looks like they can improve alot and this tough nonleague early season will help them moving forward if they work hard.
