I've seen Atoe play three times this year, against Petaluma, Casa Grande, and Rancho Cotati. Three pretty good teams. And as he didn't put up great offensive numbers against Petaluma, he was impressive. Then against Casa he injured himself early in the 3rd quarter (about the time Casa pulled away in what was a close game). And of course he had a monster game against RC.
He may be the best 2-way player I've seen this season in Sonoma County.

Yeah i have to agree, Atoe started the season slow but has really picked it up.. He has to prove that he is the real deal when they play newman and monty.. but probably the only 2 way player that post numbers the way he does

Whoever said "Dworkin is medeocre", is an idoit. He has three 200+!!! rushing games, (the most in the Empire). Plus, have you seen him on KOR? The kid is magic, and he plays in an offense where he is NEVER guarnteed the ball. Let me put it this way, (especailly with all of Rancho's injuries---three weeks without Orduna and Richardson), where would Ranch be with out Dwarkin? The problem is the can't get him the ball enough. He is "hand-cuffed by the offense. Between Richardson and Orduna being out the last three weeks, and the constant changes at QB, I feel he has been their Offenseive MVP.

My vote for MVP (co-MVPs) of the entire Empire are DJ King and Jack James. Both staffs ditched all of their off-season plans to utilize their best players' strengths. As far as I am concerned, both players have proved their teams would not be in the position that they are in without them. Obviously, (the PD article on King speaks for itself), King's efforts have spoken for itself, but Jack James has moved all over the place, and back, sometimes in a different role. He is, by far Newman's best player. He does whatever is being asked of him. A very coachable player who "gets it". He should be rewarded for that. It is clear from the fact that Newman has been rewarded from his ability and effort.
It's sad that I ( in good-faith) cannot add any other Monty kids. They just seem to be too average to me. They are great "team", but there are no other individuals who stand out to me. Just an opinion. Have fun seeing what I listed. I am sure some debate will ensue, but I can can go either way on some of these picks, too. ENJOY!
Honarable Mention: (First Team All-League in their respective League):
CN: Jack James Tyler Laron Rob Gingras
El Mo: Mike Pierson
Analy:
Jake Zanutto
RC: Sergio Orduna David Calderon Brain Dwarkin Mike Tuaua
CG: Connor Waggoner Bryan Ariza Nick Sherry
Windsor: DJ King Jordan Winkler Teddy Vanbebber
Monty: Jay Luchetti
Retalma: Mike Russel Ricky Sims Sean Sullivan Dalton Johnson
MC: Dan Farris Sam Atoe

Acknowledging I'm biased towards Petaluma, I think not only could a strong argument be made that Petaluma's Blake Olson is the best LB in Sonoma County, but he may be the best defensive player. He's not as flashy as some, but he's amazingly consistant and the anchor to a defense that's allowing 10 points a game. He's the primary reason teams can't run inside on the Trojans.
And Kameron Rose is the county's best kicker as he may have the strongest leg I've seen from a high school kid.

I wouldnt put Jack James on the list at all. Ben Not sure what your issues is with Jack James, Not many kids could have done what he did this year considering Newman's is the weakest it has been in years. So lets just call it out 1) QB with a weaker line and young recievers (375 yds+ passing) 2) 200+ rushing 3) 10 reception 4) 21 tackles @ safety (3 behind the line) 5) 70 yards interception run back 6) punting duties 7) Ran the double wing at the qb and that is not easy 8) 4 td passes, 4 rushing td 9) leads team in total yds 10) And agreed by all as one of the toughest players in the empire Ben not many kids in the empire are this versitle Wake Up

Those are not MVP numbers though. Atoe or Austin Shull should be NBL MVPs
