Bayo Aldersen will be the next coach at Montgomery. He is a teacher there and is already on campas. Montgomery athletic director Dean Haskins is really pushing for this.

Steve has been there for 31 years as the varsity head coach, I would think he's getting tired by now. After graduating this senior class, I would think he might find this a good time to go out with a bang. Im not doubting he couldnt keep it going, but after 31 years, he might want to bring it to a close, this would be a perfect time after a possible NCS Div. II title.
Jeez Insidezone, I didnt want to let that cat out of the bag until about a month before it happened. I've heard this is a done deal for a while now, but the only road block is Franci himself. 1) he's still coaching, and 2) I guess hes not a Boa Aldersen fan (I dont know why, maybe his offense??).
As for Petaluma, Id bet Rick Krist takes the job without the official job even opening up.

A Newman guy plugging Alderson at Monty? Now THATS interesting. I assumed he let that idea go when he left for CN. I thought for sure Meredith would weasel his way in somehow.
Carrillo NEEDS a change. With the talent that they get and to underachieve every year is unacceptable.
Ellison doesnt need to leave Petaluma. Coach Krist runs everything anyways.
El Molino is in desperate need for a change. I dont think anyone here can remember their last winning season.
Good thing Windsor is having a good year because they are also a consistent under achiever.
How bout Sonoma? Have to wonder how much longer O'Meara and Mulas are gonna continue. Especially since the latters son graduated.
Gonna be some good story lines in the near future.

Dynomite, Ellison is still very much involved in the Petaluma program. He continues to work closely with this team and mentor them as well. He and Ricky Krist do a great job together. They also have a great team of assistant coaches. Not sure where you got that info. Ask any player and/or parent on his team and they will tell you the same.

Krist has been with Ellison for about 20 years and played for him. Will any of his other coaches stay with the program. He will need some help rebuilding after this years senior class.

Dynomite- you have a good point on Windsor under achieving, do you think that if they do not go far into the playoffs they could be a change there also? Looks like there may be many opening again this year?

All I know is that it's very interesting regarding the Keefer sitch. I know people who lobbied hard for Price and the word was "don't waste your time...the job description was written for Keefer. It was a done deal before anyone applied." And, guess what, even though Price had the resume, the staff and the plan, Keefer got the job. At the time, the rumor was that Keefer would never stay. He bounced from Tam and once a better job came up (the Newman job) , he'd be gone from SR too. And now it sounds like he may be "one and out" at SR. All the rumors seem to come true with these guys.
Again, principal Goddard is not the best decision maker as evidenced from his public removal from SRHS mid year. If Keefer bounces, it will make it more clear that not hiring Price was another obvious blunder by SR admin.
And Ben, it's cool to disagree with the information I bring about SR and what's happening. That's what the board is about. If I have inside info or good knowledge about a topic, I bring it. In the end everyone chooses what they want to believe. No problems.

If Ricky Krist called the plays they would throw more especially with Russell at QB and Johnson at receiver. So whats that tell you Ellison is still running the show.

Keefer worked for the Santa Rosa job against Ponce, but wasnt selected to he went to Carrillo and coached QB's for a year. After going to Tam, which was open, he still wanted at job in the NBL (he's from Santa Rosa). I dont know about his housing situation, but I would think that would have something to do with it, all the driving has got to get old. Santa Rosa was one Keefers radar and when Ponce was 'let go', oh I mean voluntold to resign, oh I mean he left... Keefer applied for the job. Perfectly legal and perfectly ethical IMO. He was told one thing, and now hes been given another. No one here has all the info, but with what I've got, this is about it... Santa Rosa needs Keefer, period. That goes for all the Keefers and his entire coaching staff. I dont thinks is another SR blunder to get Price if Keefer leaves, I think its a blunder for Santa Rosa to let Keefer go. Results speak for themselves. Tam was 0-forever before Keefer, and in two years, Tam was 5-5 and in the playoff! This season with some help, and Coach Goyer keeping things up, Tam is 5-2, and should finish the season 6-4. Again, RESULTS speak for themselves.
