grades came out 2 weeks ago so you should already know. If you have seen them playing then they should be good.

doesn't each school set their own calendar as to when athletes sit out for poor grades....i doubt the leagues or NCS has a blanket ruling, each school has such different calendars and grade deadlines and even class schedules (ie block v traditional schedules) etc.
mustang are you referring to a few specific schools?

nice try, Rancofan!
You'll be pleased to learn Private schools are even more demanding with respect to grades because it is first and foremost about academics. Athletics are designed to supplement the focus on commitment to excelling - in the class room first and then on the field/court/pool/track/mat. Coaches are proactively involved with monitoring student-athletes who may be struggling academically so they don't need to wait for grades to come out . . . they are aware because they request and receive weekly progress reports. If a student-athlete needs help, the teachers/administration/coach work together to develop a plan designed to help him succeed. That's the cost-benefit of sending kids to private schools.

sportsfan- my children are student athletes at two of our "public"high schools and their coaches are first and foremost about grades. they don't even have to "request" progress reports like at your private school. they are mandatory.

More importantly for some is not sitting on the bench the rest of the year due to poor grades, it's having the athletic skills to get a scholarship and not getting one because your 3.5 grade average was due to corses that were not academically challenging enough.
