The first half of this game was the most exciting football I have seen this year. 33-24 Monty at halftime. Neither team could stop the other team. There was not a punt in the first half. Totally suprised me as Monty had only given up 23 yards of offense against Newman's spread offense. Piner had over 400 yards of offense in the game. Montgomery did not punt the entire game (Piner's defense was bad). Both QB's were outstanding. Heller threw at least 3 or 4 long touchdowns for Monty an every pass he threw was right on the money. Stiles for Piner must have thrown for well over 300 yards. I love explosive football with lots of points and this was fun to watch. The second half exposed Piner's numbers as they wore out and had nothing left for Monty's strength or numbers. Great job both teams and good luck to Monty in the playoffs.

It was fun to watch. The two best quarterbacks in the NBL went head to head and they both played well. I am wondering which one will be the all league QB in the NBL.

Piner has a very explosive offense, that is when the receivers make the plays. They need to concentrate on their defense next year, hopefully with the new coaching at Piner they will have their numbers grow.

I heard from some Monty coaches that a good SCL assistant coach is going to be Piner's defensive coordinator next year. That will really help them as they did not have a defensive coordinator this year.

That will help a whole bunch, they do need more kids to go out for the team though.

Piner will have a new defensive coach next season, but the one I know of isn't coming from Montgomery.
