7-0 CN Final
3 plays for 9 yards after a blocked punt resulted in the only score of the game.

Will Jack James be back next week, and if so does it matter?

No idea, but in looking at how Newman has done this season, and how they just did against Windsor, I'd say Jeff Badger couldnt make Newman beat Petaluma.

That may have been the least entertaining game I've seen this year. Both defenses played well, but those offenses were brutal. I'm not saying it was a bad game, but it wasn't remotely entertaining.

I'm hearing rumors they may play the Petaluma/Cardinal Newman game at Rancho Cotate next week.

Big Petaluma win next week? All signs point to this, but did anybody really think that Rancho would take Petaluma to the brink and come within a whisker of winning? Could have been a match up thing more than anything with Petaluma and Rancho, but anything can happen!

Wow was that boring or what? But as long as Newman got the W. Next week game IMO will be a eye opener for Petaluma. On another subject the windsor stadium is horrible No annoucers booth-I couldnt even hear the annoucer?Snack bar tents? The dirt mile you walk to the stadium? Parking only one exit?

I hope James is being realistically evaluated for return. I applaud Cronin for holding him out. I watched him get a concussion in an 8th grade game and from what I was told at the time, that one was his 3rd. Since then, I have been concerned about that kid.

James is under the care of a concussion expert out of LA (The Concussion Institute) who also consults for the NFL. He is in good hands

Petaluma win big??? Has anyone watched Newmans Defense? They are solid. If one team can play assignment defense, its Newman. I expect a close defensive battle next week. CN shut down Ranchos veer offense, I expect they'll do well against Petalumas. But maybe this is for a different thread...
