yeah you are right Ben it was 14-7 at the half. I was'nt at the game but I saw the pd blog what happened at the end of the game? Because all the sudden it went from 21-14 and a 3rd down and 11 from deep in Petaluma territory, to 28-14 Petaluma.

Petaluma had two great drives in the 2nd half that changed a 7 point deficit to a 7point lead. And then midway through the 4th, CN got inside Petaluma's 20 (I believe). They then received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that made it 3rd and 25. After in incomplete pass, they punted the ball to Petaluma's 10. After one first down, Ricky Sims busted it up the middle for a 77 yard TD.
"Check my numbers, check my swag".
Edit - just read the Pd's recap of the game and apparentely Cronin got the 15 yard penalty for wearing his headset into the huddle during a timeout. I honestly did not know this was a rule, but had never seen it called before, that I can recall.

Cardinal Newman had an unsportsmanlike penalty and pushed Newman back to about the 40. they ended up punting the ball, and a couple of plays latter, Ricky Sims busted a 75+ yd run. to make it 28-14.
Also, on the opening drive, Petaluma marches down to CN's 10 yd line and fumbles. This gave CN a lot of momentum and helped them stay in the ball game a lot longer than I thought they would. Those CN players were severely out-manned, but they played with a lot of heart.
