I think it's time to acknowledge the fact Eureka is a very good football team. Not only were they well deserving of a #4 seed, they may be the odds on favorite to win D2.

whats scary is that nobody seems to know anything about them, other than maulugas (spelling?) cousin seems to be an animal. Him vs. Ricky should be a very good matchup. I'm thinking they might cancel eachother out and we'll hopefully see Petaluma run the triple option to perfection. Lets go trojans!

Eureka has now outscored their opponents 115-7 in the playoffs. And the one TD was scored on a kickoff. You can say how teams who have to travel to Eureka are at a disadvantage, but I don't think it's a 115-7 disadvantage.

Petaluma is in for a fight against Eureka, to outscore two playoff calaber teams like that is very impressive. I think just about everybody is clueless about these guys, all I know is that there running back is big and very fast. So I can't really pick a winner if I don't know anything about the other team can I?

Yeah, I know very little about Eureka as well but it's truly impressive how they have completely manhandled their first two opponents. And it hasn't just been Vainuku on offense for the Loggers as they've rushed for over 400 yards in both their playoff wins. Which should make for an interesting game as stopping the run has been one of Petaluma's strength.
I hope Petaluma takes a look at the games Eureka lost to Shasta and Pleasant Valley to hopefully see a weakness in their game. If there is one.

Due to Petaluma's "struggles" in the first two rounds, its not looking good. Eureka is on a big time roll right now. And their biggest strength so far is their defense. Should be quite a battle.

This is going to be a battle. Both teams are well matched. The question is... how good were the teams that Eureka played? The only team that they played in common was Ukiah and Petaluma actually beat Ukiah by a much larger point spread.
My best wishes to Petaluma and their dream season!

Just a dominating performance by Eureka. I don't think we'll hear the excuse of weak league, teams having to travel, or poor field conditions for their wins anymore. This is simply a very, very talented team.
And I know everyone is going to talk about Vainuku, and rightfully so. But NT Dallas Mahorovich may be the most impressive defensive player I've seen this year. He spent most of the night in Trojan's backfield.
Either Casa or Montgomery is going to have their hands full. And I'd be very surprised if either is able to beat Eureka. Not because Casa and Monty aren't good, but because Eureka is that good.

You are right Penguin these guys are very talented on both sides of the ball, but that doesn't mean that Petaluma didn't have a great season, you were overlooked all season and I still don't think that people gave this team the respect they diserve. As for Casa Grande or Monty beating Eureka, I want to stay optamistic, becuase I'll be honest, I would love to see a local Sonoma County team take the title.

Casa's defense is too weak to even try to stop Eureka's RB, and Monty won't have much of a chance either. It was difficult to watch tonight.

great season trojans. there was nothing more you could have done. That team is ridiculous. I have no idea how they lost two games.
