Congrats to all the Nor Cal bowl teams this year. They represented us well. The only game I didn't see was the Modesto Christian victory and I heard it was great. I really enjoyed Marin Catholic and Rocklin's gutty performances and those games could have gone either way. Congrats to De La Salle on their victory vs Crenshaw.
Can't wait to do it all again next year!

Too bad Marin Catholic's QB was knocked out of the game early. His backup did a great job though. Marin Catholic represented well, and after this season, I'm getting a little tired of the SoCal teams being predicted to win by 4+ TDs each game.
Yeah, SoCal leads the series, but there hasnt been a single blowout by anyone. Last season, even Newman was able to make things happen against St. Bonny. I say NorCal can run with SoCal anytime.

It is so funny that the different Press outlets always talk about all the (athletes) on SoCal teams and yet our supposedly athletic challenged boys up north hold out own. Congrats to all NorCal teams.

You are correct Mr Cotter, they talked like the SoCal kids were men and ours were just boys. Granted they had some great athletes but so did we. It would be nice to see the games played with neutral announcers

Overall SoCal does have the better athletes, no argument here. Woods was absolutley sick. But to me the difference maker which allowed the north teams to compete to the end was the coaching. Great coaching and schemes can keep you in games against superior talent. Same thing as when CN played Oaks, Cronin outcoached Redell. I think over the last 4 years I've been more impressed with the preparation of the teams from the north, who may be at a disadvantage athletically, but have come out ready to play.

Rocklin's 20 point 4th quarter was amazing. I really thought they were going to be crushed by Servite (they were down by 20 to be honest though) but it really came down to Servite's field goal. Bellarmine Prep (sp?) hung with Oceanside for a bit actually, their double wing T eventually did them in as they couldn't keep up with Oceanside's quick strike, aerial offense. Great games though. Modesto Christian's win over Parker finally gives the North's small schools respect. Now if we could get our small schools all on par with MC...
