I just found out that a leader, mentor, friend and great guy Ron Price has died. I talked with a friend who was at his house when I called and it sounds like they don't know much and all are in shock.
Ron was such an inspiration to the kids he coached and I can't express how much he meant to my son, myself, and my family.
He will be remembered as a rare individual who gave unselfishly to all those he coached and encountered in life.
Truly a sad day.

I dont know what to say, other than the Football Community has lost a great person. Biggy do you have any details about what happened?

I met Coach Price one time, and he was working out with the Santa Rosa High School QB on his own time during the off season. That says it all right there!
You will be missed for your skills, dedication and commitment to football and high school kids.

What school was Coach Price associated with? I was not familiar with him...sounds like he was a great guy who will be missed.

Santa Rosa before Ponce was head coach, it was between Ponce, Keefer, and Price for the HC job. After Ponce was appointed I believe he went to Maria Carrillo.

He also coached at the JC for years. He coached with Ponce for a couple years and was at Carrillo this season.
