Hi all,
This is my last group of kids that I will most likely follow in high school football. So what are the predictions? Who will be the stars of this game, and which team will win?

I think this will be a close one. Both teams have great players on offense. The SCL is going to run a lot and the NBL is going to pass a lot. The NBL defense is stacked especially in the secondary but the SCL has a very strong defense all around. I wont predict a winner, only that is going to be a close one.

I am hoping for a 49-48 final score that entertains the crowd and gives all the kids participating great memories for the rest of their life. I wont pick a winner because both teams are great but I am an NBL fan.....

On paper I'd think the SCL is the slightly better team. In my "humble" opinion, it was an up year for the SLC overall, while arguably a down year for the NBL.
Having said that, like gator I'm not about to predict a winner. I'm looking forward to seeing a great game and despite the outcome it should be a blast just seeing all these guys together on the same field.
And for those who read the article in the PD, the rumors of Cameron Erion's size are true. I got a sneak peek earlier this week and almost didn't recognize him. He's huge and if he's still got his speed and quickness, I can't wait to see what he can do on the field. I'd also think he's itching to get back on the field for the first time since that horrific and unfortunate incident nearly 11 months ago (by the way, it's the exact same field where the injury occured). Go get 'em Cam Dogg.....we're rooting for ya!

Usually we see "The NBL is going to crush the SCL" or the opposite depending on the year. I hope this years game is as close as everyone thinks it will be.

This may be off topic but does anyone know why Erion was wearing a College of San Mateo practice jersey in the Press Democrat pic on Thursday? The article clearly states he will be playing for Santa Rosa, lol.

To answer your question, Erion was supposed to go to San Mateo with Mike Russell but i guess something fell through and he ended up at the SRJC.. Im going with SCL by ten.. The running game seems too strong to slow down, but that doesnt mean the NBL wont go down without a fight!

NBL: 36, SCL: 7
I would never have expected that score but in retrospect, why not? The NBL came out okay but in the second half they really turned it up a notch. With Tyler Laron running hard and recovering a kickoff and Austin Shull with two touchdowns, the NBL won in impressive fashion.
Why didnt you guys tell me it was going to be that cold?!?! I'm used to 100 degree weather where I live, I froze the whole game.

Any updates on the injuries to the NBL's Rose and SCL's Sullivan? You always hate to see any players go down during a fun game such as this.

Rose suffered a spiral fracture to his right leg (plant leg-not kicking leg). He will be put in a cast in the next week.

I got to see the replay on the YSN highlights, that was a big hit! It looked like the break would have been close to the ankle. I sure do hope the best for his future kicking career.
