UNREAL!! Just unreal!
Del Norte could make playoffs after all, and maybe Eureka isn't the favorite everyone though they were for Div. III.

I did the radio brodcast for the DN game that had to be one of the best High school football games I've ever witnessed.... Shasta exposed Eureka's weak pass defense and DN went right after it....DN Quarter back O'Reilly had a awesome game throwing for 4TD's and running for one while throwing for over three hundred yards.....The fourth Quarter and the 2OT where total slugfest one score after another....Game note though Eureka's big play reciever (Spaight) was out for discplinary reasons......WARRIOR PRIDE

I got to hand it Del Norte they played a heck of a game. Eureka made some mistakes and the Del Norte quarterback threw some great passes. You'd think if a team scored 41(against Shasta) and 43(against DN )points you'd earn a victory. Now Coach Montana and the team will need to put this behind them and focus on finishing the season strong. EHS plays Fortuna and DN again.

I think the record for scoring points in a game while still losing is in the 60s.
Eureka can still win league but with only 9 games and already two losses Eureka isnt going to get the best seed in the Div. III field.
Nearly any team that finishes 5-5 can make playoffs with 16 availabile slots. With some teams finishing 9-1 and some at 5-5, a 7-2 record should put them about a number 8-10 seed.

Coach Jorgenson declined the offer jaybones. Ferndale will not be playing Eureka. There was a lot of speculation but I'm in the camp that says Ferndale would ahve been stomped

Of course Ferndale would get beat on, especially because they aren't as dominate this season. This must have happened just recently because Ferndale was def scheduled to play Eureka, I got this right from the horses mouth. Coach Montana confirmed it stating it would be a huge game for the area. I'll do my best to find out the real story. Its a shame this sounds like it has been called off.

come on people! sure, Ferndale only has a fraction of the enrollment the eureka has, but to count Ferndale out before they even played the game would have been a HUGE mistake!! Del Norte was a perfect example
