The 41st annual Sonoma County Kiwannis All-Star Football Game will take place on Saturday, July 19 at Santa Rosa High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. The game this year will feature a north and south team instead of the usual NBL vs. SCL matchup. Piner head coach John Antonio will coach the north and Rancho Cotate assistant coach Gehrig Hotaling will be in charge of the south. The teams have been split as follows — North teams: Ukiah, Healdsburg, Windsor, Piner, Santa Rosa, Cardinal Newman, Maria Carrillo, Elsie Allen and Montgomery. South: Rancho Cotate, El Molino, Petaluma, Casa Grande, Sonoma, Tomales, St. Vincent and Analy. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for those 65 and over and children under 10 are free.

Yeah time to hang this game up. Been deteroiting for years and looks like even taking another step back.
Unfortunately the days of the summer all star games are gone. The best players don't play in them anymore. That's why theres been a shift to right after the season (early January). Players are still in football shape, better quality of play an you see more marquee players actually playing.

Bella, i agree all star games are pretty much not worth doing now. Colleges don't want their incoming players to risk injury. For the players who are not playing in college, it's kind of anti climatic to put all the effort into an all star game that just does not match the excitement of their final high school game--let it go and enjoy the memories.
