From the Contra Costa Times..... www.ibabuzz.com/prepcorner/2016/02/08/17523/VC will field JV only while they"rebuild" What's odd is that their varsity went to their division semis last year and hardly need to "rebuild" from terms of won loss record. And of course, VC blocked Middletown's great teams from advancing in the playoffs not all that long ago. I support the concept--more of the smaller less successful public school football programs should consider this strategy--but strange it happens to a successful private school program, though admittedly it is a small enrollment school (low 200s). Insight, anyone?

This is surprising. But I think this will become more common for the smaller schools. Either that or eliminating JV teams and only having A Varsity squad.

Ever since Parrella left they have been in a little decline. He was the vision / mastermind for that program. So much for the next DLS of CoCo county lol. That statement was ridiculous at the time.
That area is absolutely exploding I'm surprised VC has not expanded a bit. They are in a panic to open a new public school, Dublins enrollemnt is expected to be 5000 in the near future since it is the only school in town. Cheaper to just add to the campus and expand it, no need to open a new school.
