Salesian is going for a state title run in 2011 and will do so by playing Inderkum in a non-league contest.
Salesian has an enrollment around 550 with Inderkum having an enrollment of around 2000.

How many starters does Silesia have coming back. I think they are in over their heads.

I'm not sure but Calpreps is doing the preview thing again so we should know shortly. I think they will get beat pretty hard but then again as far as computer rankings, Calpreps says Salesian would have beat Inderkum in 2010.

Salesian would have to beat Cardinal Newman or Marin Catholic to be taken seriously. Only way right now is to hope both teams lose and they slip in.

Good point, and there's no way Cardinal Newman or Marin Catholic would schedule Salesian because of the difference in division. Salesian could always petition up to Div. III if they think they can make a run on state. More power to them if they can do it!

Inderkum is going to have a down year in 2011, and could continue into 2012.

I've been told Middletown is revamping their schedule to make a run at the Small School State berth. They have a legitimate shot at going if they can run the table on Div. IV.

Any idea who they are going to play? Beginning the season Middletown has 7 league games.

I'll ask around, but I heard they picked up a Sac-Joaquin Section team. Don't know who.

I have no way to confirm this but I was told Middletown is playing Salesian, Upper Lake and Brookside Christian in the preseason.

Just a thought, but if Salesian wants to make a state title run why don't they get out of the Bay Football league? They have to play CSD, St. Eliz and Emery every year. Would it not make more sense to play in the Bay Shore league if they are worried about strength of schedule? It could help out both programs if they swap Salesian with Swett.

haha good point there too. Actually if you look over the minutes at the NCS meetings, the NCS wants Salesian out of the BFL too.

I've been told Middletown is revamping their schedule to make a run at the Small School State berth. They have a legitimate shot at going if they can run the table on Div. IV. Middletown is listed at 512 students this year on the NCS website. So that puts them back in DIII for the state bowl. The NCS DIV teams under 500 are Ferndale, Berean Christian, Clear Lake, Cloverdale and Valley Christian.

I was looking around and it looks like Tamalpais is under the impression they are playing Salesian the week Salesian has committed to play Inderkum.
