ya know most pop warner coaches would be successful at casa and windsor they are much bigger schools playing in a small school league... Herzog will be the most successful too much talent with more players than anybody in the league...Casa will be good for years to come because of the league they are in and bigger schools usually beat the smaller schools.....more kids usually means more players....you watch SR will soon be good again also...SR schools need to stop the open enrollment. Anyway Herszog goes the distance and if newman stays in the same playoffs that would be a good game...

Casa vs. Newman has been a contest that has only been seen twice in 10 years. 1999: CG 20-0, 2006: CN 35-3 Both in the NCS playoffs.
Would Casa be successful with Chris Meredith as head coach? Herzog will work hard and continue to keep Casa on top. May things contribute to a great program and a winning season, but a great head coach is key.

You got me monty, I dont know. He was very disrepectfully to the kids and shouldnt be coaching. A coach is supposed to be a mentor and role model, Meredith is neither. Franci will hopefully toss him a few weeks into the season.

I think we all know that Franci, Coach V, & Scalercio, will not take any BS in their program.
With that said, I think this is a good opportunity for Meredith to learn the ropes from a strong veteran coaching staff. I hope he looks at this as a second chance, works hard, and does right by the kids.

Answers: 1. Meredith is a teacher in the SR distict maybe they had to give him a job...most districts have to take full time staff first as opposed to off campus coaches.
2. And yes even Meredith would win at CASA this year.. But Trent and his staff will make them even better..
3. I have seen CASA's running back, he is a track star type runner..very good and fast but not your football inside type...
4. Larry condola is probably one of the best long time QB Coaches in the area... this site is fun, thanks

From what I hear, Casa has a monstar at QB. Casa should be very strong, I dont think Petaluma or Windsor is going to make a league championship out of what they have to take out Casa. Windsor and Petalumas all star class have yet to perform. Casa is strong all the time, and wins all the time. Herzog/Casa shine this season.

The right coach at Piner should be able to carry some of their basketball success to the football field. I hope this is the right coach. Only time will tell.

I love it. We know Casa has a big sophomore who wants to play QB and that's turned into Casa has a monster QB and they are going to be strong because of it. There is a long way to go intil the season and much more to know.

After speaking with a few coaches I know in SoCo, this Casa QB has some great potential to be a good QB. With his height, Casa should have a good QB for the next three years.

Sherry is a sophmore. He will be a junior next year. Petaluma and Windsor will be very good. It will be a 3 team race. If Sherry performs to his potential look out. We all know Casa will be able to run the ball. They always do. And we know Casa can play defense with the best of them. But don't look past windsor or petaluma on paper they look as good if not better then casa.

I understand that and I am sure he will do fine in time. I see this "size, strength plus desire" equation for QB's flop often. I am thinking of an NBL kid last year who was hyped to me by numerous people for his size, speed and strength and the fact that he "goes to a lot of camps and works hard." Then I saw film and I was shocked at how awful his feet were. I was surprised every time he got a throw off, it was that awkward. I am not saying Sherry is the same thing because I've never seen him. But in my view Casa has a history of QB's that are "pretty good" being hyped as great. Actually that goes for their teams in general, but I should say that I am an NBL guy and I am biased and I don't see enough of them or there QB's to say that with authority. Maybe I just catch them on their off games...

I'll also throw in a homer vote in for Keefer. I was a Price guy in that race, but I am so impressed with how Keefer's team is working these guys in the off season. Saw some field training yesterday after lifting. Straight lines, discipline and precision. Something I've never seen at SRHS. 6-8 coaches out there walking around correcting form and enforcing precision. The kids are getting their asses kicked in the weight room and in field training. If they have a good season this year, they could see some increase in talent coming out. It's a big school. I know Ponce's initial success compelled some good athletes to go there rather than Monty or Newman. But if they don't do well...it will be a hard road for Keefer.

We will see how Sherry does. Right now it is too early to tell. Guys don't count out Petaluma. They have the great combo of Sullivan and Sims. They are seasoned and talented.
