Maybe because, as your moniker more than implies, you are a "newman fan" and can't see the forest for the trees, or anything else other than newman for that matter. There is another post that indicates James may be replaced at quarterback...I do not know the accuracy of this claim, but if true, it would hardly make sense to replace the best qb in the area.

Depends on what offensive system your looking at.
Option ball, Peleti-Gore and Russell are close, because they both are the masters of their playbook
Passing with a sprong running game, Nick Sherry hands down
Strong passing with minimal running game, Jake Zanutto at Analy, but he has room to get better.

It's a little tough to answer this at the high school level because often times the QB's are asked to do different things depending on the systems. It's easier to analyize a pro QB or college QB .
Petaluma and Rancho QB's are not usually going to have great passing stats. But that doesn't minimize thier effectivness and importance to their team as a QB. That being said I'd say Sherry has looked good and probably has the best potential to move on to the next level. Is he the best QB? Depends on what you're looking for.
with who I've seen I'd say I've been most impressed with Sherry, Kristoff, Russell and King.

Where's the love for DJ King?! Even the Healdsburg fan brings this dude up! Imagine where Windsor would be without DJ King. He makes that offense click. Zack Zanutto is a guy that is just a young buck, (only a Soph) he still has a lot of improvments to make. A couple of INTs he had in the game against Rosa was your classic "locking in" on one guy and throwing the ball to him even if it's not there. But he also had some very nice throws, all in all, a good learning experience for Zanutto. This guys only going to get better and better.

htown, I was really impressed by King. He does make that offense click. He seems to have alot of intangbles and is a good leader, things you need in a QB. Those are also the same reasons I like Krisotff as well, he does alot of things to help his team win, but may not have the overwhelming stats.

Yeah how could i forget about DJ King, what a great player he has been so far this season.. the leader for windsor and should do damage in that spot.. but Zanutto has done a great job so far for analy.. so the SCL has two solid Qbs right there.. The nbl has many different styles of Qb. like peleti-gore, quick and smart with the ball.. while Odom from carrillo has good speed and a decent arm.. Then Heller from monty who is strong in the pocket for his size and has great vision for the open player..

The kid from Elmo gets my vote. He can throw and run. Sorry, but he's got no help and his stats are respectable. I don't think any other QB around could do what he has done.

I am down to Josh Wheless and Nick Sherry for QBs that have a chance to play at the next level. The other guys are great high school players, but too small for college football. Each has their advantages. Yesterday I watched the St. Vinny game and I was very impressed with Josh Wheless. He has size and is much faster than Nick Sherry. His throwing is great, but I suspect that Nick has a better arm. If Josh was playing for a bigger school he would be in the headlines more. I have heard that he is getting attention from several colleges.
