Casa Grande is up top, Montgomery moves up, Carrillo falls down.
Take a look at the CIF Bowl Rankings as well. Del Oro, who beat Newman, is all over the place, dispite being killed by Palma, St. Francis is ranking pretty high. In the small school bowl, Ferndale is moving higher, even Hoopa Valley is ranked at #10.

Having watched that Del Oro team a few times this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up in Carson. The true test will come for them on the 16th when they host Granite Bay. Both teams are going into this week undefeated.

I find that hard to believe... Having watched both of those teams, Del Oro looks a lot better than GB.

Let me say this. Petaluma is good and played a great game Saturday, But wow has Newman improved in 5 weeks and they looked outstanding Saturday. Newman would beat Petaluma by at least two touchdowns if they played tomorrow. One QB change has made them alot better.

I'd love to see that game. I'm not so sure Cardinal Newman could win. One QB change may have made them a lot better, but let's remember since the change they have played Elsie Allen and Piner. I don't think that's a good way to guage if they've gotten A LOT BETTER. We'll know more when they face some tougher opponents and win.

wo wo wo mustang, I don't agree with you at all on that. Petaluma's defense is just to good they would do very well against Newman i think. Also Newman looks better based on what? They have had two huge wins against Elsie Allen, and Piner, C'mon man!

I don't know if it's hating on the Trojans when people are saying they think Newman and Casa should beat them. Newman and Casa have shown to be perennial powerhouses in their divisions for a period of time. It is hard to take a team seriously until they prove themselves. Last week Petaluma proved themselves in a big way...But to automatically annoint them champions already and saying they will win it all is a bit early for that. Newman and Casa deserve the respect they are getting because of their track record has proven it. For the Petaluma fans who say this board is "hating on their team" I don't think that is quite accurate. I think Petaluma is a very good team but after watching how they had trouble after beating Casa last year It makes me nervous to say that all of their remaining games are automatic wins.

Newman and Petaluma would match up great for the NCS, would be a great contest matching up two great coaching staffs. I would like to see that one no matter who wins.
