Newman looked really good tonight, Tyler Laron ran the ball like he was the star all year.. Way to step up newman.. Rancho just couldnt get it going tonight.. But the wing offense looks like it could do some damage with Dumont and laron plus bowman back there..

Just plain crazy...
I guess its now enter peoples minds that Newman could win their last two games and make playoffs.

Hat's off to Cronin. Changing the offense to capitalize on the talent he has and their shortcomings demonstrates once again why he is a great coach.

I would never have expected to see the Toss at Newman, but losing to Rancho would have been terrible. Newman has two more games to go, then a 6-1 NBL finish will be just fine.

I wouldnt think that newman would go to the toss either.. but it seems to be working for them, Laron, Bowman and Dumont all showed that speed is a key part if u are running that offense last week.. Look for the cardinals to turn it around and should do alright in ncs this year.. Who can beat the cardinals in the nbl if they stick with the toss offense??

Cronin had to convert to the double wing - the QB is not a passing QB as evidenced in the 3 pre-season games. He then stepped aside and the Soph QB came in and that didn't work either. Thankfully, this latest adjustment worked against Rancho.

Who is to say who could, or could not beat them with their new offense, unless they have played them? Apparently, Rancho could not...could Montgomery? Guess we'll never know unless they meet up in the playoffs. It is easy to say, "If only Newman had done this for the Montgomery game...", however the IF word is a very big word...as a relative of mine likes to say, "if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass"...nuff said.

Maybe it took Cronin that long to finally listen to his coaches and switch from WHAT HE KNOWS to an offense that one of his staff knows.
