I am not leaving Newman. I like coaching under Cronin, my business is in the area and my daughter and wife love me being here and being an assistant. I can't see any of the Newman coaches leaving to take this job.

I think Dustin Davis would be the right pick....he is not going through the police acadamy he does all the off season workouts. He is 29-0-1 the kids love him and runs a soild program.

Badger won't leave Newman. I can guarantee that.
Windsor's JV coach does a hell of a job, if he wants it I'd give the job to him.

The foundation for CN's success is the coaching at the lower level. Truth is, Healy could have his own program. Badger could have his own program. When you have THAT caliber of coaching at your Frosh and JV level it allows the Varsity coaches to focus on the fine details because the players have already been taught extremely well. And THATS why CN can have their success against the bigger programs. (You'll notice the best programs have similar situations)
So why would Coach Badger want to leave when he knows what an excellent job he does and how important he is to Cronin and Newman?

This job could go to anyone really, Badger would be a great fit, because he knows a bunch of the windsor players from coaching youth ball.. But then u have to look at his loyalty to the newman program.. Higgins shouldnt even be in the mix, because he has foundation already at Carrillo with Atoe coming back next season.. So who out there in sonoma county can come in and turn the windsor program into at 8-2 team.. I say Ponce or Davis if he wants the job..

IM GLAD that Windsor in getting a new coach. I would have to say that there are better coaches out there than Lance Badger. He has said in the past that kids that attend Windsor or Healdsburg are "bad" kids and that why he's at Newman. Windsor doesn't need any more cops to coach in their programs. The JV coach, Dustin Davis, is a good JV coach but you don't have to be a great of a coach to win at that level. But I will give it to him, he will at least listen to the kids and will work with the feeder program. Maybe Tony Keefer would make a good coach, he as a great background with SRJC and D-1 programs. He knows what it takes to get kids to the next level. Now, if I were Windsor's athletic director and had the fourth-largest school district in Sonoma County I would make sure I got the best coach for the job, period, not just a good JV coach.

Well it seems like Badger will stay at newman, where he should have a solid jv team next year.. Keefer is a good fit, but lets see if he stays at rosa, because in his first year he was competing with some of the top teams in the nbl and even beat carrillo who made the ncs playoffs.. If i was the AD i would find someone who has been around sonoma county football and can bring in a staff of guys that can turn windsor into a powerhouse within a few years.. if that could happen i bet that many windsor fans wouldnt be so into getting rid of the head coach and would focus more on the game itself..

I still say the Higgins thing will never happen. As far as a potential is concerned, the Antonio/Harrington thing would be great for that program. They both respect each other, and if you get two potential candidates together, they may dominate the SCL. Both guys are very familiar SCLs schemes. Two potentials coaching together, who are on the same page, (WOW!), I think Windsor would be benefiting from that more than any other program looking for a new HC. Antonio's biggest obstacle will be getting Harrington to get there. It would would be even sweeter if Davis was able to maintain his status as JV coach. But the "fly-in-the-ointment" is is Davis can't do the Academy.

Whats all this talk about harrington. Hes never been a head coach. When he was at petaluma the kids hated him. When he coached at casa for the 9-1 JV team again the kids hated him. Every single kid at casa. Antonio's would be making a huge mistake by hiring him!

Viking, I dont know where your getting the Antonio - Harrington connection, but I've never hear anything about it, at least neither one of them has mentioned it to me.
Davis should be the one to get the job. Good for him hes going to the police academy, but it stinks for Windsor.

I just hope that Windsor gets new blood in there. I have no ties with anyone at Windsor but I have been following them for a few years. I think the biggest problem is that they have too many parents coaching their kids and they have no business coaching at this level. They need a good strict coach that doesn't take anything from the parents or kids.

Hey i forgot what about Tony Saiz?? He has coached in the SCL, why not give him another shot at the helm.. But whoever comes into windsor next year will have big shoes to fill due to the lack of respect this year and how everything fell into place for windsor

I can tell you right now, there willl be NO Antonio/Harrington co coaches. I talked to John, he says he is happy right now and is very close to home. Has no reason to leave Casa. He wants to be a HC again, but he realizes this may not be the right time/Job.
He feels very bad for Coach fayter who is a great guy. When I told him people on here mentioned his name he was upset.
I hopes Coach Fayter stays at Windsor and wins an NCS next year. If not I wish him the best of luck.
I really feel like we should leave this topic alone until it happens or does not hapen. As for now Good luck to all the teams that are still in the playoffs!!!!!!

I say let the coaching spot open if the windsor program feels its neccessary, and when the best time to do that would be after NCS finishes.. but there are bunch of good young coaches that could take over a team.. but the windsor spot may not be it for some
