If I could have gotten my kid to switch from his high school to Newman... I would have done the same. In my kid's high school less than 60% take the SAT. That is sad. I bet the % at Newman is a lot higher. Not only are sports great at Newman, but the education is great as well. I speak from experience; this is a true story.

As long as he stays at the JV level for 2009 it is perfectly legal. No varsity after a transfer without a hardship.

Yeah thats the truth, even as a junior a player can play JV and its fine.. no varsity player can transfer to another school without a legit reason or hardship

He hasnt been on varsity yet, nor is he going to be on varsity this season. Maybe his parents moved houses, or didnt like the Piner program, or got a raise at work and decided to send him to a private school. So if Piner goes 7-4 this season, and he transfers back to Piner his Junior year, would this even be a topic?

Well maybe everyone is jumping on the newman train, because have u heard bout that freshman class they have this year.. led by Dakota Album... great size kid.. going to play noseguard on varsity.. about 5'10 220.. but if piner goes 7-4 i wouldnt doubt to see some more players head over to piner.. same thing could go for santa rosa if they have a breakout year..

One thing Newman hasnt had in a dominating way is size. Look at Rancho last season, or monty this season. Last time Newman was anywhere close to that was in 2000. Would be great to see Piner get some attention. Dont think this is Santa Rosa's year though, next year should be better, same with Ukiah.

Yeah i watched santa rosa at passing league, not bad for the players that have.. just dont have anything that pops out at you.. and piner is going to be the team that should have a better year.. and newman really doenst have size in 09.. monty is averaging at like 270 across.. so watch out for them also..

The ElMo QB was awesome tonight at passing league. He is big, strong arm, and makes good choices. Not alot around him but he is very good.
