Heard that Casa Grande has a monster sized new QB. one report has him as a sophomore 6'4" 200. Is that accurate?

gomonty, I think you are talking about Nick Sherry. He is a great athlete, has size, speed, a great arm, and he is smart. He certainly has the physical & mental attributes. As for being a great QB: he looked good the one time I saw him run the JV team. I have heard that he is working hard to become a great QB. I hope the best for Nick. He and his family are great people.

Nick Sherry is who you are asking about. He is over 6/4 tall and about 190 - 200 lbs with a big time arm. He gave up baseball to concentrate on football. He has a QB coach that he goes to in the east bay every week. Nick will be one of the best QB's in the area for the next few years. Look for Casa to really air it out these next few years.

"pound it with keys"...."Look for Casa to really air it out" O.K WHICH ONE IS IT? ARE THEY GOING TO POUND IT? OR AIR IT OUT? IS THIS HERZOG'S WAY OF MESSING WITH DEFENSIVE COORDINATORS? HAVE PEOPLE POST DIFFERENT STYLES AND KEEP EVERYONE GUESSING. PRETTY SMART NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT.

I expect both, Casa should be a big dual threat on offense.

I saw Sherry at QB clinic 3 weeks ago. He has lots of potential. He has a great profile and alot of upside. I expect him to be very good especially if Larry Gondola is calling the plays for Herzog. As for Herzog he is a defensive guy. I know he wants to pound the ball and win with defense.

Defense defense defense, yeah yeah yeah. Offense is needed to win games too. I know Trent is a defensive coach, but with a good offense coach to help him out (2 heads better than one), they will do fine on offense too.

How did the track meet in Healdsburg go today? Petaluma and Healdsburg sprint was supposed to be Sullivan vs Fountain. Did it pan out?

Fountain won both the 100 and the 200. Not sure of the actual times. Fountain is fast. Guess he's been running track since Junior High. There was another kid from Healdsburg who came in second both races too. Sullivan did well too. Just a step behind 2nd place runner. He's done well for his first year. I wasn't there, but heard they were two great races to watch.

100: Fountain (H) 11.06, Prep Best; Kozel (H) 11.42; Sullivan (P) 11.46 200: Fountain (H) 22.49; Kozel (H) 23.03; Sullivan (P) 23.16 both races were fun to watch between Kozel & Sullivan. Fountain was well out in front in both races.
