Sorry, Ben! I should proof my post before sending. The statement should read, ". . . for all those children WHO seem to get off bashing certain schools."
That line was NOT directed at you - sorry for the typo!

How come those "well put" and "Lets move on" messages don't come from posters like sportsfan when people, myself included, pile on programs like EA or Piner? When I read all the posts from everyone bashing coaches of other programs like Meredith or Ponce, nobody says a word. Talk about Monty struggling, or SR being disorganized etc....are all ok? But then one word..."recruit" and a post or two about CN and the people on their high horse come out to play. So..... just so we can be clear...because clarity on a public message board to post all opinions is clearly the goal.....all political correctness is.....we are allowed to bash any other program except CN right? And we are allowed to doubt (I didnt say bash) any player as long as they aren't from CN right? Just want to be clear. It is a public forum for opinion, and humor (which is what I was trying to do toward newman fan...not newman itself) and debate. Chill out! All I was saying is that you don't get wins in summer camp and combines. Thats all. Thats for all teams. Thats all I meant. So sensitive. Is this a board for those things....or is it just one big pat on the back for CN or Cronin or any other program, player, or coach? Is it only designed for praise and fairweather fans? For crying out loud, this country was built on people being allowed to express what they want no matter how unpopular it is. I dont agree with attacking players about them personally. But cricticizing their play is fair game IMO. Expressing any opinion about a program, coach etc....is the exact point of this board. Chill out Nancy!
And if this board is only to talk about football...then why do I keep reading about track meets and 100 yd dash times?

Part of what makes this board so successful is the FRIENDLY banter among rivals. Since MOST of us are adults we stay away from player bashing and stick to the teams they play on. Every team is fair game and we ALL have a right to our opinions so don't take it personally.

Well said Jbytes... Wow, something you and I agree with!
Everyone can have and voice their opinion, and that will in effect form their credability. Anyone can say something, but backing it up with fact, etc is what makes that opinion count with others.
You want your voice heard, go for it! But always remember to be professional.

Connor Waggoner got Offensive MVP and Casa's Soph QB got Best QB at the camp Casa has been it. Think it was at Sac St, 32 total teams, and Casa was ranked number 2 at the end. From what Ive heard the did very well against Granite Bay (by very well I mean beat them).
Casa could be looking at their best team in years with a solid offense and solid defense. QB, RB, WR are set and Herzog is a big defensive guy, so you know their defense will be top notch regardless of whos there. In looking at who they have on offense, and who they return, Casa's defense could be awesome.

It was a 7on7 passing tourney not a camp. And Waggoner was voted co MVP along with a WR from Vista Del Lagua.

Hi guys, I went to the Petaluma passing league. Rancho looks okay, but they are not a passing team. They are very much like Petaluma. The tough thing is that who can really tell without running and hitting with equipment. The only thing that can be evaluated is defensive backs, QB & receivers. Right now, the Saint Vinny and Casa QBs are the standouts.

Tonight I went to Santa Rosa High School's passing league. I am a SCL guy so I don't see this bunch much. I was impressed by the following. El Molino really looked like a team (sorry I started with an SCL team that I found at SRHS). They were balanced in passing offense and defense. They looked really well coached, plus their energy was positive and gave feeling that they were going to be successful. Since they are a SCL team and I have seen them play a lot over the years without winning much, this really surprised me. The QB is a stud! He is big, he has a great arm, and he is quick. He is not quite a good as Nick Sherry at Casa, but very good. Could this be El Molino's year?
Another team had a player that really impressed me is from ♠Andersen Valley High School in Boonville. They have an excellent receiver. This kid is big, fast, strong, can leap, and has good hands. He was a man amongst boys. If anyone knows who this kid is, it is time to watch him.
Maria Carillo looked very balanced. Their left handed QB throws well and has some good receivers.
Lastly, Santa Rosa high had an interesting surprise. The first string QB was alright on short passes, but throwing long was his weakness. He could maybe go 30 yards. He got most of the snaps until they tried another QB. This kid was really good. He completed every pass he threw and had a very quick release. I wonder what is going on at SRHS? This did not make sense to me.
I did not see the other teams playing at the JC.

Pops. I was there too and the El Mo QB has a very good arm and does throw a nice ball. Good size to him as well.
SR's other QB is a senior and is coming back from an injury. Maybe that's why he is not taking more reps. Alexander is name. I just posted something in the SCL passing league thread about it. I agree that it didn't make sense, but they are probably just taking it slow. The kid that got most of the reps was not bad. It looks like the offense is pretty much built around the short stuff. I think he'll be good with a little more size and strength. I heard he is pretty young.
It's fun to get out there and see some football again.

One of our junior LB's fractured his Tibia running a half speed fade route during warm ups. His cleat stuck in the grass as he twisted to catch the football. It was really a freak accident at half speeds. He will have surgery in the next day or two and will need at least 8 weeks to recover. He is a great kid who maintains a 4.0 GPA.
