The seeds look just like I think they should. Looking forward to Cloverdale @ Middletown in the 2nd round.
Any of the top 7 could win this. Justin is a wild card.

Do league champs get an automatic home game through the first 2 rounds vs a non league champ or is it through 3 rounds?

Correction. Higher ranking doesnt factor. Only when its two league champs. Lower league Champs get home vs. higher Non champs.

This is good for the Redwood Empire. The winner of Cloverdale Middletown will have a home game vs. #1 St. Mary's

Excuse me for being a bit rude here but am I the only one who's surprised to see a 3-7 Willits team here? After the debacle over them running up the score on Upper Lake and Lower Lake, it's odd to see them here. Why not another NCL North or South or East Bay team?

Willits is eligible because they are .500 in league at 2-2. They will get crushed in the first round by Salesian just as Middletown and Fort Bragg have beaten them up pretty bad in consecutive weeks.
I normally don't talk bad about coaches, but I think it was poor sportsmanship what they did to Lower Lake kicking onsiders and going for 2 pt conversions the entire game. Especially when they were up by 44-18 at halftime. I can see if your 2nd team is playing hard and scores, well then good for them, but to kick onsiders and go for 2 when the game is that out of hand is too much. I heard there was more of the same when Willits played Upper Lake.

This Division clearly has too many teams. The first of the "watered down play-offs era". Sure Willits qualified for the playoffs but they dont deserve to be there. Congrats to the Willits players for getting another game but this takes away from the other teams busting their butt to make the play-off.
14 teams in this brackett and 17 in the division. Something wrong with this?

I don't know about the onsider part when talking about Willits, but I do know they make one kick the whole season. Going for two is not about running up the score. That is just what they do. If you look at their games...it didn't change whether it was close or one side. In a 20-16 win over Kelseyville they were 1-3 on two point conversions, and none of the attempts were in a classic have to go for two situation. And thumbs up for them that they did qualify after going 0-10 last season. They didn't score more then 8 points in any game. We all know why teams like Willits are in the playoff anyway.

it's very common for small school teams to always go for the 2 point conversion...often they simply have no one who can placekick a ball any better than Charlie Brown...
regarding the willits "onside kicks" ....that would be unsportsmanlike, no question...tho again, place kicking can be so...um, elementary... at the small school level, it's entirely possible the "onside kicks" were legitimate kick off efforts that squibbed for 15-20 yards and the outclassed team can never get the handle on it. Really, it happens more often than you might think. Again, I know nothing specific to Willits, just sayin....

This is D4 not D5, give these schools some credit. Willits is 100 kids away from D3, and I have never known a team in class A, now D4 to not have a kicker, so it is certainly not common. The people I talked to say Willits was running the score up. If anyone was actually there, I would love to hear their opinion.

4thqtr, Willits legitamately does not have a kicker; they squib or onside each time and never punt on 4th down. Against Fort Bragg, they went for it on 4th and improbably long on their own 20 rather than attempt a punt. Granted Coach Collicot wanted his kids to have a few good wins under their belt and had the intention of humiliating the other team, but those squibs/onsides and 2 pt conversions would have happened anyway if Willits was losing.

Wow, I stand corrected. Its crazy to me to think that a D4 team does not have a kicker. In fact, I can't recall one that did not. D5 yes, but not D4. Couldn't they get a soccer player to come kick on Friday evenings?
Why was there such a big deal made after the Lower Lake and Upper Lake games, about Willits running the score up if this was the case?
