Eureka has a strong running game, no doubt. The Loggers' will try to get the Vikings sleeping by running up to the ball and snapping on quick counts. The key to beating the Loggers is to not get caught up in the hype about #3. If u spend all your time worrying about him, he will distract you and the Vikings will find them selves keying him too much. #10 & #34's success is relied on #3 being keyed on. Bite too hard on #3 fakes will give #10 & #34 a great game. Key Loggers' #50 & #62/ OGs, they pull to the hole 95% of the time. Beware of the decoy trap pull to the outside. They run that a few times. Keep #3 running EAST & WEST w/ gang tackling and Vikings will stop him. It's not a bad Idea to blitz off tackle. Vikings must sell out on the tackling & pursuit. Don't 4get about #13 & the jailbreak screen. Look for that 3rd and long. Vikings d-line may not be able to match Loggers' line strenght, so consistant movement will be key. D-line must sacrifice themselves and take out linemen & leading backs leggs. Confuse the Loggers' blocking assignment. The Vikings' o-line will have to control Loggers' #20 NT. He's strong in 1-on-1 situations, but weak against the double team. Loggers' o-line likes to play like matadors. They wait for the o-line to make a move, then they side swipe the players. They are weak against the pass, especially covering double twins or crossing routes out of a cluster package. If the vikings can keep long offense drives and keep Loggers' offense off the the field for most of the game, then the Vikings will win.
Good luck to both teams

Good break-down. This almost sounds like a jaded opposing coach.....

Monty gets rocked. End of story it wont be a game. The only tem that had a shot was Casa because they have a big play offense. They couldnt stop Soma but they could out score them. Thats if sherry didnt choke like he did in every big game casa played this year. In casa's two losses Sherry had 10 turnovers 9 ints and one fumble ,great against bad teams bad against good ones. It think it is important for QB's to win big games but i could be wrong.

Pretty low there, sclmcal, for calling out sherry, or any other individual HIGH SCHOOL football player and calling him a choker.

I did not express surprise...simply noted it. That it happens here or elsewhere does not justify it nor minimize that it is inappropriate. Am not suprised, but am disappointed that adults (at least I assume so...could be wrong there) do not recognize how wrong this is.
It's the old adage...if you don't have something good to say, then just shut the hell up (okay, I changed the last part a little bit...)

I agree hsfbfan, this is HIGH SCHOOL football, it's unfailr to the players to just to just rip them like that. Hey mc415 watch Nick Sherry next season, I'm going to say it right now, he passes for at least 3,000 yards next season. He is going to be much improved from already being one of the best QBs in the empire.

You're probably right htown...Sherry will quite likely light 'em up next year...and will learn from his past mistakes (they're mistakes...this does NOT make him a choker).
However, in fairness to mc415, whoever he is, he is not the one who made this comment...it was SCLMCAL...whoever the hell he is.

Hey SCLMCAL, I think if you look at the stats of any passing team you will find that when a QB had a bad game, they lost. Newsflash bonehead, leave Sherry alone.

2) No personally attacking or bashing any student athlete regardless of the situation
Goes without saying. SCLMCAL crossed the line in my opinion.
Let the players play. Everybody has bad games SCLMCAL, and for a junior quarterback to lead their team to the semi final, doesn't exactly point him out as a choker either.

Well, where do I start!? SCLMCAL, looks like you really showed Sherry who's boss! I doubt you could compare so stop talking smack. You need to give credit where credit's due, he had a bad game against Monty and Petaluma... He also lead his team to an 11-2 season, so that speaks for itself big guy. On another note, this game has the possibility to be close if Monty goes out swingin' and CHUCKS DA ROCK. Eureka's line has been put to the test, their backers have came up big... but I have yet to see their secondary do squat and get tested! If Monty doesn't play big, they be going home. Toss up some rockets... I think an appropriate motto for the game (for Monty) will be throw or die. I think Monty is going to come up big, take that SCLMCAL, MONTY OR BUST!!!!!!

Im sorry for my comment about sherry. He is still the best Qb in the area by far he just needs to improve in some areas such as the big game. Casa will be the team to beat next year and sherry will be the leader of that team. Sherry im sorry for the rude and unneeded comment your a great player and have a bright future. Good luck next season and get monty and PHS back next season!

WHAAAAAT ARE YOU KIDDING!? Do you even have the nerve!? Thanks for the apology... but come on now. I think we may be taking this Sherry stuff a little far? I'm not going to worship the ground he walks on. Dj King and Mike Russell sure had HECKUVA year. Granted Sherry is a junior, but we'll also be looking for a strong ELMO QB next year. Boy, that kid sure can TOSS THE ROCK! I've heard Elmo has a strong sophomore class coming up... what out front runners, the thunder from down under is brooding.

Ok back to the game. I don't see how anyone can think Monty will win or even be close. Everyone talk about their size, but honestly they aren't that big and just not as talented. The press said vainuku has 1,068 yards and 17 touchdowns i his last 4 games. Thats a great season!
